Machi Action is the name given to the movie with the kamen rider Rip-off Space Hero Fly.
Quote:
Orends:range: We have reported last year about a Taiwanese Kamen Rider rip-off called "Space Hero Fly", recently a trailer for the said Kamen Rider rip-off surfaced online. Entitled, "Machi Action", it is about the life of a former superhero actor after his show was revamped.
This comedy-action film centers on an actor who played the role of Space Hero Fly, a popular superhero. But because of executive meddling, his show was revamp and introduced a new hero that replaced him in the show. The movie is about him finding a new acting job after he was fired from his show while at the same time, he goes on a soul searching on what it means to be a hero. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...v=eeDrT_Z4jds#!

Yeah, that looks really well-produced, and more like a parody of the whole toku thing than being a ripoff.

Looking surprisingly good considering the hero is a shameless amalgamation of other Kamen Rider suits. Hope someone subs it.

I don't think it's so shameless though, it's intentional. Since the film itself is an examination of how toku shows are cancelled and revamped and what happens to the actors after, I get that now. When we first saw pics of this thing, everyone assumed it was a rider knockoff series. But it's actually a pretty insightful examination of the genre itself. Very cool.

The new guy looks like an awesome cross between Iron Man and Accel
I take back what I may have said about this movie now I can see what this is really about. Not only does it look great but it's a pretty well thought-out parody/tribute too. I really hope this gets some decent subs.
