Man, I don't know why, but every time I try to watch a Godzilla movie, I end up falling asleep part way through. I don't know why, but it's hard for me to take an interest in Godzilla, and this includes both early and more recent flicks.
I really want to like Godzilla, I really do, but I don't know why it ends up boring me. But I'm still going to give the new movie a shot. |

For a more real or gritty experience I'd recommend Godzilla vs. Hedorah. Also Vs. Hedorah brings in some symbolism about pollution and stuff that was in the first movie. If you want a continuous story line you should go Heisei. The first 2 may be boring if you're not a Godzilla lover but there really isn't much to miss though the Biollante movie is necessary to the plot in Vs. SpaceGodzilla. Starting with Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah in the Heisei would be a good intro to that particular series without much worry for boredom. |
