If the whole show is going to be as good as the first episode, I sincerely hope other people are giving it a chance too.
I expected a mildly amusing, jokey sendup of tokusatsu, but pretty much all the gags were genuinely hilarious, and there's a real heart to it I didn't expect at all. It's relatable on a level that goes beyond just toku. I think pretty much anyone who has a hobby or interest they're passionate about that isn't particularly mainstream could watch this and get something out of it. Glad you like. Need to still check on how the first episode was. But really glad to hear positive things about it.

It's hard when you're into something that's obscure to most people. If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me about my 'Ant-Man' t-shirt … (it's Kamen Rider) … |

I really like the show. She is so relatable although I guess I'm less shy showing my love for Toku than her. I don't really mind what people think when they find out I watch Tokusatsu pretty much daily.

Spandex fetish is strong, but seriously the episodes are full length despite it being more of a sitcom. Having a hopeful and desperate cute girl as the lead does sell and cater to the toku fanbase demographic better. I don't know about general mainstream audience.

I've really been enjoying this show; it's been fun to watch (as well as dangerously relatable at times!)
They've managed to make the characters so likeable, too. I was so anxious during the second episode, when Nakamura and Yoshida met at the show and when they were having lunch (I really wanted them to end up as friends!); it was almost difficult to watch! Can't wait to watch the rest of it Last edited by ShouRonpoGoldar; 02-04-2019 at 11:31 AM.. |

It's hard being a fan of something that seemingly no one you know IRL knows about,.. and the few people that have any idea what it is … think it's all Power Rangers. Everything is Power Rangers to people that don't know about Toku. |
