The actor who portrayed Blue Beet has a twin brother who is also a toku actor. He shows up in B-Fighter and I for sure thought it was just clever camera work.

Yep the Tsuchiya twins. Daisuke I believe played Takuya/Blue Beet in the original B-Fighter and Keisuke was Kazu/Kirinranger in Dairanger a couple of years prior. Also they played clones of each other, Daisuke playing fake Kazu in Dairanger at one point and Keisuke was Black Beet in B-Fighter.

So, I've been wrapping my head around why Zero-Two has, for me, the weirdest transformation sound in all of the belts in Zero-One. But then I remembered the little draft notes for Zero-Two's name (Heh, Super Zero-One) and the one who made it.
Hiden Aruto. He conceptualized the belt himself, not Ark, Zea, Soreo, or Korenosuke. Not to be harsh, but he's clearly not skilled in desigining something. That's why the sounds were Zero-Two Jump/Rise and the over use of two/to in the sounds. It's personalized to how he makes jokes. Terrible, but endearing. Also kind of explains the simplicity of the form's design and power set. Aruto just doesn't have that "sense". He can't design a suit beyond "It's Zero-One but it's stronger, faster, and has all the powers of my previous forms." Last edited by TheRaizin; 11-02-2020 at 08:12 AM.. |

Speaking of Zero-Two, it's quite a clever nod to quantum computing which can use qubits (0s, 1s and simultaneously at ths same time, represented as 2n) as opposed to binary computing (0s and 1s).
I'm not an expert at quantum computing, but still, nice little nod.

Just realised Captain Serizawa from Ultraman Mebius is also the eponymous character from Masked Rider Shin.

Had a thought: would Tsukuyomi beat Geiz Revive and Grand Zi-O? She is said to be stronger than her brother and also has her own rider form.
Both Geiz and Sougo lost to Another Decade, so I wonder how those two would fare against Tsukuyomi. |
