It's a toy, there is nothing to be considered a problem other than if the person seeing the problem is retarded.

Its stupid and quite frankly, typical Saudi. I am a Muslim. Born and raised. I'm not what passes as a "good" one mind you but I can tell you whatever rulings or fatwas that come out of Saudi Arabia are as valid as grumpy old men talking world issues at a coffee shop.
Hell, not too long ago these Saudis intended to close Masjid al-Nabawi because they felt that it had become and I am not joking when I say this a "Shrine" where Muslims were actually visiting the mosque for the wrong reasons such as to "worship" Muhammad when they should instead be praying to God (or Allah if you prefer). Quite frankly, the Saudis or at least the ones who seem to be calling the shots have little regard for culture outside of Arabia. Which is surprising since most geek Arabs of my generation seem to love Go Nagai and Grendizer. Last edited by KRX; 06-01-2012 at 07:56 AM.. |

Im not arguing that. It was more a way to get passed that and comment on how doughy the figure looked. I mean this happends all the time in music, film, games and airline seats (ETC,ETC).

I'm familiar with Arabic script, and very familiar with the spelling of Muhammad, but I find the allegations to mostly be baseless. It's the same way that one can liken my father's signature to a tic-tac-toe board; the similarity only exists if you choose to see it.

To tell the truth, any sculpture resembling living things are banned or disallowed by Islam. Exception, dolls for little girl development. This means that the Power Rangers (because they resemble living human) toys actually wouldn't be allowed at all in their country. Good thing they aren't too fanatic about it, at least not yet.
