So twenty episodes into Kamen Rider Black and I´m still enjoying it. The overall story of the show moves rather slow but the individiual "filler" episodes are enjoyable enough that I dont mind. I mean who wouldnt enjoy an episodes that revolves around Golgom trying to steal tons of tuna?

Yup they are really enjoyable. There are two or three I really didnt care for but I mostly really dig those. Birugenia just showed up and I like how he changes up the show a bit for now. Nobuhiko kinda reminds me of those damn dino eggs from zyuranger. The show manages to bring him up just enough so I dont forget he exists

I've just finished Wizard and the show was better then I thought. People made Wizard seem lifeless, when it was really just the opposite.
I enjoyed the twist with Fueki and I really liked the fight scenes. Now it's time to go else where the shows I've completed are W, Wizard, Ryuki, Kabuto and Decade.( I listed then fav to least.) So now where to next? I've heard Agito and Blade are pretty good. |

This. I'm only ~18 episodes in, but it's fantastic so far.

Agito is a very good series, but it sometimes forgets it is a Toku show. Plus, the final battle is a let down. NEvertheless, you cannot go wrong with either series as both have great character development and stories. |

The problem with Wizard is that the last 7 episodes of the show render the entire thing utterly pointless. The Phantoms had no reason to exist. Haruto had no reason to have forms for each element. Beast served no purpose. Medusa did absolutely nothing in her entirety. And the "plot twists" were predictable right from the get go. Oh yeah, and those costumes... oh god those costumes!!!
Albeit not well explained or properly fleshed out, Beast was a world building tool used to show that different types of wizards existed. While that never came into play all that much, his uniqueness was the reason the second Sabbath was thwarted. I think he served a pretty clear purpose. Medusa was once again a story building tool and the catalyst for the idea of new Wizards through Mayu. But that's about it. I think the Phantoms are probably the worst motley band of misfits to ever think themselves a real threat in Kamen Rider history. That said, Fueki tricked them to unintentionally seek out Wizards for him so he could begin a new Sabbath. They had their purpose, too. I'll be the first to say Wizard is a flawed series, but I feel a lot of the criticism goes a little too far. |
