Right? And not even in the distant past. Hell, even the last bit of ToQger had some quality storytelling. |

I guess I just haven't watched any series that I would consider to have good storytelling. If I want story, I don't go to Sentai.

I hate Kyuuemon even more now. He got on my nerves in the past, but now it's just hatred. RIP Last Ninja. One episode left...

The only ones I've finished are Jetman and Zyuranger. I've seen half of Megaranger, am caught up on Ninninger, and am about...15 or so episodes into Liveman. There's a couple I've seen under 10 episodes of, but that's not enough to count. I'm still fairly new to Sentai, but so far the plot isn't a very big concern of mine.

Jetman and Megaranger both had great stories, at least I thought.
If your looking for a good story in Sentai, I've heard Gekiranger has a great one but haven't seen it to fully justify it. Abaranger's story is great too, because the elements flows very well, but the pacing's kinda strange, and Gingaman has a great story as well.

It's not that Sentai can't have a good story, just that it doesn't seem to be the primary focus of it. When I watch Sentai, it's because I want to see the action and the suits - a good story is just a bonus. Ninninger did have a lot of undercooked story elements, but I didn't mind since it gave me what I really wanted.
I've heard Gekiranger is awesome. I saw the first episode and it seemed really cool. I may just have to deal with the awkward CGI and watch it.
