And with a thunderous roar, Godzilla 2000 is here and... well... I'm a little disappointed. I haven't fiddled around with him too much, but the reviewers hyped him up way too much as he does not deliver for me. He does not seem to be as posseable as Burning Godzilla, which to me, is a shame, as Burning G remains my favorite Godzilla MonsterArt. My biggest gripe is with the tail and head. Everyone kept talking about how great the tail is when it comes to posseability, saying you can wrap it around to the front of his body. Well, mine is not like that. If I try to do that, I get it popping out of its joints at various sections. Secondly, and this is the most annoying part is that he always looks like he is looking down no matter how high you raise his head. I like the tongue articulation. I like how they found away to get rid of the big gaps like Burning G had, but they also limited his body movement as I can barely turn the torso. Outside of those, the figure is great and I'm glad to have him in my collection, but I am happy I paid no more than $57 for him as he is definitely not worth $75.
As always, here is the slideshow: Godzilla 2000 Slideshow by DrKainn | Photobucket And some pics: |

The Torso does have a good range of movement. Sounds like your not moving around the dorsal spines on the back and it's getting caught.
The tail on my figure is able to articulate pretty far, the tip can touch it's back. Of course, mine doesn't fall apart like yours apparently is. Sucks. |

Sad to hear a bad opinion as I've been looking forward to a 2000 Godzilla for a while. If you don't mind, could you take a picture showing how far the tail can bend to the left or right?

If I can get it to pose like that, I will as I have been able to get it to bend like reviews have shown, but I have to do it very slowly and one piece at a time.

Thanks, I'm just a bit concerned about how much shelf space it's going to take up

UPDATE: 2014 POLL
www.tinyurl.com/ly6ljfp This link will take you to the comments section of the poll. To further help Tamashii Nations gather appropriate data, I would like to encourage you to leave a little comment of maybe the top 3 monsters you voted for, what age demographic you fall in (i.e. 20-30's, 40-50's, etc), and a realistic/fair idea of the price you would expect to pay for these figures. These are suggestions, but any sort of comment regarding your vote, and why the selected monsters are important to you, should suffice. If you've already voted, you can still leave a comment. |
