Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!
We're back with another awesome gallery made possible by site sponsor Entertainment Earth! A blast from the past, it's everybody's favorite and original (sort of) grunt. It's the S.H. Figuarts Shocker Combatman! The Shocker Combatmen are of course the old enemies of the original Kamen Riders. They worked for, you guessed it, Shocker! (Sacred Hegemony Of Cycle Kindred Evolutionary Realm) The type seen here bear the most iconic version of the Combatman costume, the white ribcage. The original version of the costume is a bit more bland. But this one has succeeded in being more lasting. But our focus today is this Shocker Combatman. By far the most iconic grunt in Kamen Rider, or in fact any tokusatsu franchise ever, the Combatman has spawned numerous media and merchandise in Kamen Rider's 40+ year history. Is it any wonder these goofy guys have had such staying power? This version of the Combatman first appeared in Kamen Rider 14 alongside the kaijin of the week at the time, Sabotegron, and has lasted ever since making numerous cameos throughout the franchise. Reappearances include Kamen Rider Decade All Riders VS Dai Shocker, OOO/Den-O Let's Go Kamen Riders, and a very special 999th & 1000th Episode anniversary in Kamen Rider OOO! Now onto the figure! The Shocker Combatman comes with 3 sets of additional hands. A couple to replicate the traditional Shocker Sieg Hail salute, a few for holding things, and one additional hand holding a special item. An OOO Cell Medal! This very awesome accessory helps recreate a pivotal scene from OOO/Den-O Let's Go Kamen Riders where due to the antics of the Den-Liner crew, a Cell Medal is left in the past allowing Shocker to rise to world dominance at last! A very awesome bonus indeed. Also included are two weapons. One the traditional Kukri knife emblazoned with the Shocker logo. And the other a classic Shocker Staff. All in all the S.H. Figuarts Shocker Combatman is a really really fun figure. Grunt figures like this don't get released terribly often but they should, troop building this kind of thing can work really well when it comes to building awesome displays. If you'd like to pick up an S.H. Figuarts Shocker Combatman they're currently in stock at site sponsor Entertainment Earth for $29.99!

Not sure how I feel about a Combatman with a weapon. Feels kinda... in vain? I don't know. Maybe because I just don't remember them having weapons from the OOO movie.
But really, it's the freaking Combatman, you ain't buying him for a stick and a knife.

Aside from the belt buckle, which is a bit on the huge side (And considering he's coming from a franchise that's all about gigantic buckles, that's saying something), he looks pretty nice. My only real disappointment is that it doesn't include an alternate head (Since, with exposed mouth and eyes, he can make visible facial expressions).
That aside, looks cool. No smoke trail for him to emulate a missile?

I love these guys, even better than the all black ones. I just wish they were a little cheaper for troop building purposes.

I have, several of them. I'm slowly amassing an army of the 2 versions.

This is nice. But still want the 3-& 6-packs. If there's any hope of troop building, you have to take the nosedive off the deep end and get those multipacks. Thing is, they're exclusive, and I'm not seeing them anywhere.
I digress. This is an awesome release. Might be willing to get them....slowly as Den-O said. Just sucks that's necessary to get a modest troop for your Masked Rider/Super Sentai to beat up on. Would it be weird to make these the Putty stand-ins for my Zedd throne room display? |

They didn't make these in the multipacks, did they? It was just the Black variant, wasn't it?

Just the black releases, which were web exclusives. This version was a general retail release and was only sold in singles.
