The dark leader Don Armage has gone missing after a battle with the KyuRangers. Can our heroes find him and stop this evil for good?

Gotta love how Kyuranger refuses to do a straight up clip show. They just get the recap stuff out of the way in the first five minutes here and then it's right back to the drama. I dig it. I also dig this episode, although I won't have much to say about any of the current plots until they actually finish.

I love this twist so much. It was even pretty well foreshadowed, and there was enough red herrings and guessing to make it fun trying to figure out Don Armage's deal.
The fight with the Bossworm was also incredible. Whatever you say about the writing, Kyuranger has some of the best directed fight scenes in recent Sentai history, and I hope this keeps up with Lupin/Pat |

Kyuranger has been everything I wanted in a Super Sentai. I do hope for the finale we can get Raptor and RyuCommander back in there. So sad to always, ALWAYS, see them on the sidelines or in Orion.

I just watched the episode. I was correct about Don Armage's identity! Bwahahahahaha!

I appreciate that they did away with the normal whole recap episodes, had an actual reason for the recap they did had, and had said recap become relevant to the plot. It was also nice giving the five in the fighting team an upgraded form of some type to play with. Can't recall where Stingers drill arm came from though.
Also Sailor Moon Reference was amusing. The show still isn't what I would call great, mostly because there are literally more rangers than the writers know what to do with, but it does have quite a few strong points going for it. |

And all of Hammy's stuff with the Hikari Kyutama was mesnt to be a reference to Sailor Moon indeed. I laughed every second of it. Lol!

You see Toei? It doesn't hurt to have your Red Rangers share some of their upgrades with their teammates, does it?

That Sailor Moon reference. Seeing that after the Fist of the Northstar-one makes me think that there seem to be decent people in the writing room. Too bad that they can't really write a compelling story or interesting characters though.
Like, really? Cuervo is Don Armage? And not even by choice, it's a lame possession-thingy? Oh please. Not only is it boring as all hell, we all know how that's going to end too... Pega-san returning was okay, I don't think we needed another recap but it's way better than wasting an entire episode on flashbacks, that's for sure. So yeah, still pretty unhappy with this show. At least it will be over soon... |
