I thought Kamen Rider Drive came on first, not Sentai.

Farewell, my beloved crazy vehicle friends. God, I'll miss that show so much (ยด;ω;`)ノ
Glad we got at least one V-Cinema and a Movie Taisen ahead of us. |

Nice episode. Flashback was sort of unnecessary but then I guess the entire episode sort of was.
Ghost stuff was nice, though. Yurusen is actually pretty fun, if floppy (the blush is a bit odd, hadn't noticed it before). Looking forward to next week. |

Subs are up. I like the use of an epilogue episode to wrap up loose ends, close the book, tell us the fates of our heroes. The villain was kinda lame, he had so much time to cap Kiriko, but I get it. It was also amusing to see Shinnosuki straight up shoot all those criminals. Kamen Rider's guns are always lame revolvers.
I also liked the introduction of Ghost. His hand-to hand fighting style seems to be kung fu, lots of flowing movements. This has always been an iffy question in KR, but this indicates they're in the same universe, right? Thats two times we've seen Ghost just waltz up to Shinnosuke. That little ghost buddy is gonna be fun in the Ghost series. Drive started pretty slow, and I'm not a fan of all the suits that came later on, but it was very entertaining as it progressed. I can say it was a worthy follow-up to Gaim, and Ghost has some shoes to fill. Bring it on

So much more respect for drive after this episode, its not about kamen rider, its now about a cop moving on from his past and being just as heroic even without the belt...love it. Henshin-free story that ties up the series in a respectable and appropriate manner

Controversial opinion: I really really liked Drive waaay more than Gaim.
Even the start of the show was fine because it focused on the cop drama and investigation rather than everything else. Later on we saw excellent characters rise to their own:Gen, Kyu, Rinna, Heart, Brain, Medic, all were fun full characters. And 5he best amongst those is got to be Gen, his character arch was way more interesting to me than any other supporting character in Gaim (Mitchy is a main and thus doesn't count). The show was sort of episodic but it didn't feel like it. Everything flowed from one episode to the next without the harsh stop-start that were the Gaim arcs. This episode shows how good was this show really. It was a reasonable epilogue after last weeks episode and didn't just retconed what was akready established. Ya, the villain was week but he wasn't supposed to be strong, he needed to be human to bring us down to earth. The only thing I despise with a passion about this show is how Kiriko was treated. She started out so well. I remember one forum user thinking she was an android because her amasing acrobatics. She wore the belt even, and got her own fighting gear. But by the end she was just another damsel in distress, a thing to be won over by Chaise or Shinoske. That's really bad. I do wonder: now that it has been solidly established that there is no more belt, how would they involve Drive in the movie wars or will they not address it at all? |

Meh... as expected, a completely pointless waste of an episode. The real ending in the last episode was good enough; if anything they should've used the extra episode for a real epilogue or a longer fight against Sigma instead of this.
Ghost isn’t even a factor in this episode besides just being there and fighting for 10 seconds... what's the point? I hope this will be the last time they sacrifice a whole episode for this stupid last episode crossover stuff. |
