Fight Power! Fight Power!
Arms Change Kamen Rider Duke was just released mere weeks ago. Timed perfectly to his rise back to prominence in the Kamen Rider Gaim series. Seen very elusively up to this point in the show, Duke is shaping up as quite the nice villain. But let's see how this figure shapes up shall we? **Post #2 Contains Additional images ***Post #3 Contains a Baron Lemon Energy Arms Custom Tutorial Arms Change Energy/Kamen Rider Duke is the 12th release in this highly popular line following the release of AC11 Kachidoki Arms Gaim. Duke is of course one of only two Energy Riders available at retail. The two remaining new generation riders, Marika & Sigurd, will be released as a Bandai Premium 2-pack. Duke is packaged in the now standard Arms Change box and plastic shell and includes his Lemon Energy Arms and the customary Sonic Arrow accessory. At a base body level Duke is the same sculpt as Baron. Whether intentional from the outset or not this is pretty damn awesome considering Baron's eventual use of the Lemon Energy Arms. Though that suit in the show was a quickly thrown together piece using spare parts, the sharing of a basic body hear makes it seem almost prophetic. Some of the textures from Baron's body have been removed in favor of more smooth surfaces on Duke. And the paint appear to be a bit more lavish and bright. The baby blue Duke is primarily cast in is especially gorgeous. The head is of course new, and oddly, much larger than the other AC's. Duke simply put has a big wide head. Onto the actual Lemon Energy Arms. At first glance most people assumed based on it's transformation that these Arms were just a remold of Mango Arms. However that was a very incorrect assumption. The mistake is easy to make considering the near identical transformation these two share. The way the shell opens, the cape pieces fold back and out, and even the way the helmet/visor stores. But they simply aren't the same at all. Lemon Energy is an entirely new mold. When combined with Duke the Lemon Arms look fantastic. However Duke's beautiful coloring lends itself well to most Arms, but he shines brightest with his Lemon. Luckily Lemon Arms also look good on just about every other rider as well, especially on Gaim, Zangetsu, and Ryugen. This figure also seems to be an improvement on the line from a QC perspective. Much more work was put into it's paint apps than any of the others. The joints are a bit tighter, the paint crisper, and the Sonic Arrows bow action feature is much stronger on this guy. Once again Bandai of japan has knocked it out of the park with Arms change! Up next in our series of Arms Change gallery is the first of the Bandai Premium Exclusives. ACPB01 Bujin Gaim Blood Orange Arms!

These images show you the quick and easy way you can custom up a Baron Lemon Energy Arms. And how you can use the spare parts leftover to make a pretty sweet Duke custom. Simply remove the 4 screws on the back plates of both Baron & Duke. Then remove their belts and swap. This is really easy considering these are just soft rubbery accessories. Though they are molded differently from one another so it'll be a snug fit to put either's belt on the opposite figure. Then reassemble and pop Lemon Arms onto Baron. Boom! you have your very own Arms Change Kamen Rider Baron Lemon Energy Arms. Side note. Duke's Lemon Arms feature his personal insignia on the chest. In show Baron's chest features his traditional Team Baron logo. Here the only way to recreate that on the toy would be to have a custom printed decal sized for the chest, or to skillfully paint the symbol on. Otherwise you just made yourself a cheap and easy banana lemon rider! Of not is that the AC Duke hodgepode you'll have leftover actually looks pretty damn solid with the Banana Arms and Sengoku Driver. You can basically use him as a spiffy dummy body for any of your extra Arms.

So just shared engineering with Mango then (Got HLJ'd on the Mango/Kiwi set). Glad it's easy to switch belts if I ever want to be more accurate with a Lemon Baron.

That's right, it just shares some engineering with Mango. Some come elements but they are definitely different toys. And the belt swap is indeed very easy, anyone can do it.

There's no way to store the Sonic Arrow on the armor like with Shin Zangetsu right?

Strangely no. So far Shin Zangetsu is the only figure capable of storing it while not in use. Gaim Jinba can't do it either. Though the final two energy riders aren't out yet so it's hard to say if they will or won't be capable of it.
