In this brand new episode of Power Rangers Dino Supercharge, the evil Snide decides to contaminate the city's water supply with a special venom (Hi Sting Rage!) that causes those who drink it to forget who they are! Also, apparently, Riley has some characterization as the side-story as him squaring off against an old rival in the Amber Beach Marathon.

It was alright! The whole deal with Riley and his Energem (I won't spoil this) was settled relatively quick and made all the build-up feel a little lackluster. Heckyl and Snide are very argumentative with each other, but Heckyl is better at scheming than Snide! The battle with Stingrage actually surprised me because the Megazord finale looked as though it involved some very fine editing. Also, Curio's pail from Kyoryuger finally gets an appearance, but in a very different context.
P.S.: Why is Heckyl using the name "Heckyl" in front of the Rangers?! P.P.S.: Where is Keeper half the time?! Snide appears in the base and he doesn't even make an appearance to defend it!!! |

It was...meh. To be honest the Riley episodes never seem that great, and this one was possibly the worst. From a pretty boring bully story (which involves our hero cheating most of the time), to the conveinenat/bull shit memory loss story. Why didn't Snide just trash the base when he was in it? Why would the villains keep the poisoned water out in plain sight? Because it's the second episode, we gave the villain an advantage and have to take it away because episode 2. It's just lazy to me and it becomes worse since they gave Snide an advantage. Also if Heckly couldn't even remember who he was when he took in the poison the first time then how the hell can he remember Fury the second time?
Suffice to say this was the first DC/SDC episode that I honestly think isn't good, at all.

This was indeed one of the lesser episodes of the Dino Charge seasons. It felt like a complete filler that didn't add anything to the overall series.
The whole bully thing felt like a recycled version of the "Bully for Ethan" Episode from Dino Thunder. And the villains losing their memory in the end was too contrived and averted what could have become an interesting plot twist. I really would have liked to see where the series would go if the villains attacked the Ranger's base so early in the series. |

Alright, so this episode felt like a typical Power Rangers episode. I enjoyed it, but definitely is not going to make my top 5 or 10. Although I have questions.
Where did Prince Phillip go off to? He appeared last episode and was no where to be seen this episode. Wouldn't Snide remember the rangers base? Or is his mind somewhat connected to Heckles? Where do they keep the zords? Why is Dino Drive such a waste? It is wasted as cockpit footage. |

Disappointed in this episode.
As a stand alone episode, it's not that bad. But while showcasing continuity (referencing the previous episode), it also forgot continuity (namely that Prince Phillip came back last episode and is nowhere to be found in this episode - the joys of filming multiple episodes at a time).

Pretty dull overall but it was kinda amusing to see Riley with his ex-boyfriend.
Tell me I'm wrong. :P |

Average, I would have listed it as a 4 or 5 but the ending with the partial mind wipe on the villians hurt it for me. The way they had been setting up I was expecting we'd actually seem some serious follow through on the attack on the rangers base and was really excited at how early in the season it was looking like it would have been in.
I do hope we do get to see Heckyl actually attack their base at some point and I do hope they keep up the whole villain right at their side thing since that will be an awesome back stab/betrayal moment when Heckyl does reveal his true colours to them. |
