Hello Everyone. Sorry to bother with a so trifling matter, but after some hours of a heated discussion with a friend, I reaaaally want help.
After some analysis, I could clearly say it's "a girl" with her "pigtailed" hair, stunt hops, and after (--spoiler for some--) "she" pretended to be a fan of a manga series and got sick, which Kyoryu Pink also was revealed as a fan, and Amy helped the mangaka to deliver a hand draw to "her", and they actually get along a little, and blah blah blah. But common, this is really pissing me off, and I think I'm gonna punch my pal if he disagrees with me again. I would hate if it would for the wrong reasons... But I also would love to be sure... Different subtitles say different things because there's no real equivalent to "he"or "she" in Japan, especially not for young/immature characters like Luckeiro. The "she" thing in the manga episode was simply the people doing the subtitles' choice.
Luceiro's always come across as male to me. Very cutesy, but definitely male. |

In my eyes Lucki is a girl. *sagenod* And no need to apologize for the topic. It's been a debate on the forums for a while now.

I've always seen him as a small child. Less attached to normal gender roles. Susceptible to naiveté and easily startled. Also strong fandom.

Personally I've always seen Lucky as male too, but its not something I'd go out and argue for.

I've changed my mind since the start of Kyoryuger. First thought, male. Now I'm thinking female.
Because, if I'm not mistaken, it's still a weird thing in Japan for a little boy to be reading romance-type manga. I say that because the mangaka turning out to be male was overblown in those episodes as this really big revelation, as something he needed to hide from people lest he be ridiculed... or something. For that reason (and totally not because of the subs haha) I've changed my mind. |

Subs have gone both ways, but the Japanese speech has kept Luckiero completely gender neutral, they've been very careful not to say either way (which is a bit harder in English, which is probably why the subs assumed one way or another). In the end, it doesn't matter/can be either.
