Well, this was something else!
Cannot avoid getting spoiler-heavy! The idea of a Princess from another galaxy trying to make a show of force and destroy the Rangers makes for an interesting setup and one that should definitely be explored further! Personally, I wish Drillion had gotten more of a backstory to better explain why he looks like he is covered in human-style tools, per his Ninninger counterpart Nue, but it's a mild complaint. For once, a relatively standard and uneventful Pink has some time to give a little extra, and she offers a...unique take on things. I don't believe the whole "high school student makes a complex machine that turns ANY food into a fantastic cookie" storyline, but it does make for an interesting story given how they approached it. Even more so, it factors in how she is able to convince the Princess to change her aggressive ways. I like how Galvanax tried to explain how half of the poorly named "Lion Galaxy" thinks that the Princess isn't suited for rule, and it's not completely surprising that Drillion turned on her! It's a refreshing change to see a "Galaxy Warriors" contestant/monster/alien/villain who actually has some background, cause Drillion accompanied the Princess! The effects of the Lion Fire Zord/Lion Ship in the new footage are not terrible in my personal opinion and should be used in the future! I'm impressed with some of the parts of this entry and believe that Princess Viera should set a new standard for PR villains/allies in the future! P.S.: The kid who tried to steal Sarah's cookies was named "Billy"! Granted, many people share that name, but surely they couldn't have missed the obvious connectivity in using that name! I don't see any obvious parallels, but still... P.S.S.: Victor and Monty don't know where the milk from a cow comes from! Monty looks it up, while Victor searches...successfully! THEY SERIOUSLY WENT THROUGH THAT GAG!!! A cop arrests them for stealing a cow....and has the cow identify them in a lineup just to complete the gag!!!!! Wow, that was the first PR lineup that I can remember! Not even Time Force or S.P.D. did that!!!!! Still, THEY USED A COW!!! |

Okay, this is the most impressive episode yet, minus the school stuff but I am impressed by the overall plot and Princess Viera.
