Ideal scenario
The next guy keeps the legacy line going. Of course they have to pay the dues and do some MMPR figures. But they continue on from where Bandai left off. They fix the female figures. They showcase the Shogun megazord. it's just a smooth transition that results in better quality. What will likely happen Legacy line is simply dead once Bandai finishes the release. No Shogun Megazord either. |

How soon until we find out who the successor of the toy license will be? Can't start selling PR 2019 hype to kids and collectors without some toys to tie in.

I expect the Zord Builder line to be discontinued after this. Hasbro's megazord's will likely be the same mold as Bandai Japan's mecha (similar to how Matchbox/Mattel used the Bandai mold of Voltron in the 1980's). Also keep in mind companies have a big dick. They aren't going to just continue what the previous company was doing. But their ego won't be big enough to make their own molds when Bandai Japan has their own readily available. But the legacy line is on the ropes right now.

Wow.
I can only hope this is for the better. A lot of decisions over the past couple of years hadn't really been working out or making sense... And although every now and again something would sneak up that I'd have interest in (for example - if they even come out now to a wide degree, should I bother going for the Psycho Rangers when it's a guarantee nothing in that scale/style will be continued by Bandai's successor?), just never had enough faith in Bandai to continue or finish things to bite the bullet. Kinda even more glad now.

Let this kind gentleman explain.
I forgot who said it but Hasbro oversaw Yokai Watch's merch in America so maybe some business connections that stemmed from that sparked this deal perhaps?

Hasbro has connections to the fat food providers like Bugster King and WacDonalds. I'm kind of sad, but not. The attention to detail has been fluctuating for a while.

Wow did not expect that. I agree in that this can really only mean good things for the future. Probably.
I don't know about that. Market is already pretty full of MMPR as is. It would be smarter to give the collectors what they don't have, in this case literally anything that isn't Mighty Morphin'. |
