I search for this thread and found nothing. So I wonder what is everyone's favorite animated movies. They can be from America, Japan or any country. My list in no real order.
Non Japanese Anime Films: April And The Extraordinary World Batman: Mask of the Phantasm Coonskin Fantasia (If I had to pick any Disney movie, this one would be my favorite) Fantastic Planet Heavy Metal Heavy Traffic Persepolis The Prince of Egypt Rock & Rule A Scanner Darkly The Secret of NIMH South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut The Triplets of Belleville Up (Pixar's best work in my opinion) Watership Down Who Framed Roger Rabbit (It has both live action and animation. So it could count) Wizards Anime films (No OVA episodes edited into one movie): Akira Angel's Egg (Underrated masterpiece) The Boy and the Beast Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door End of Evangelion Galaxy Express 999 Ghost in the Shell The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Golgo 13: The Professional Grave of the Fireflies Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro Memories Millennium Actress Mobile Police Patlabor: The Movie My Neighbor Totoro (Mostly due to nostalgia) Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind Neo Tokyo Ninja Scroll Paprika Prefect Blue (My favorite anime movie ever!) Princess Mononoke Project A-Ko Redline Robot Carnival Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise (Gainax's best anime in my opinion) Silent Möbius: The Motion Picture 1 & 2 Summer Wars Sword of the Stranger Tekkonkinkreet Tokyo Godfathers Vampire Hunter D (Both the first movie and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust) Venus Wars Wicked City The Wind Rises Your Name

Non-Japanese Anime Films:
- A Goofy Movie: Road trip movie starring Goofy and his Gen-X teenage son Max. - Batman: Mask of the Phantasm: An unexpected release when it came out. Sorta plays on its own not heavily bounded to the TV series at the time. Nonetheless a great film. - Sing: That guy from Interstellar is a koala who wants to save his theater from being mowed down via singing contest. - The Incredibles: What Fant4stic should have been. Still to this day the best superhero family film ever. - Zootopia: A what-if scenario if Human Undead lost the Battle Royale and the rest of the undeads from Kamen Rider Blade decided to share the reward. - Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers: The film that introduced me to Wallace and Gromit. A nice little claymation film to worth checking out. - Shrek: Say what you will about its sequels but the first film was great. It has an ogre voiced by Austin Powers and his sidekick donkey voiced by Axel Foley. And that alien from 3rd Rock From The Sun is in it too. No not Joseph Gordon Levitt, the old one. Anime films - Saint Seiya: The Heated Battle of the Gods: The bronze saints go to Northern Europe after Cygnus Hyoga is missing. - Crayon Shin-chan: My Moving Story ~ Great Cactus Invasion: Shin-chan's dad is assigned to Mexico so the whole Nohara family moves there. Everything is awesome at first, but then a horde of cacti swarm their town and it becomes Left 4 Dead with cacti. Really fun. - Crayon Shin-chan: The Adult Empire Strikes Back: Ever since a theme park about the 20th Century appears, the grown-ups are acting like... KIDS? The film's theme is all about nostalgia. A certain scene where someone looks back at one's own life really teared me up. Contrary to its TV show shenanigans, Shin-chan films such as this one are its own thing with heartwarming moments while maintaining its sense of humor. Sounds odd I know, but check it out. - Your Name: Shinkai's recent work. Go watch it. - Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Yorozuya: Gintoki wakes up in... THE FUTURE?! - Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F': Goku and Vegeta and some old friends fight Frieza again. It is over 9000. Just watch the darn movie.

I updated my list and I forgot to add some other titles. It was hard to pick a Studio Ghibli movie since I like so many. I don't like all of them, but I enjoy a good amount of them. Spirited Away is great, but I like other anime movies better.

Galaxy Express 999 is another movie that I forgot to list down. Great sci-fi classic in my opinion.
