FINALLY got around to watching The Idolm@ster movie after months of having it on my computer and no time to watch it. Absolutely loved it, so good seeing all of the cast again. Even though its a franchise about idols it always manages to surprise me how serious it can get at times too - with the series it was all the stuff with Chihaya, and then here they went and gave one of the characters an eating disorder (albeit somewhat trivialised).
KNEW they'd slam in a Cinderella Girls cameo too. I was waiting for it all the way through and then it showed up right at the end

Rewatched Urotsukidōji last night and it's still a fun movie. The large amount of sex and violence can turn people off but it's rather tame compare to most stuff today. I never seen the sequels past the second mvoie since I have a hard time tracking them down.

I've wanted to check out Gundam for the past few months but at the end of the day I'm always repelled by it. It just gives off this constant, dreary vibe that nothing fun, cool or exciting can happen because "War Is Hell" & things like that. And that's a fine idea to base a few stories around but an entire franchise? Really? That's why I steer clear of NGE; the few small moments of hope in the series are viciously ripped away from the characters (& by extension, you) because reasons. Drama is needed for stories but there has to be a good balance between light & dark, happy & sad, etc.. Plus people keep recommending Gurren Lagann to me instead but every time I try it just feels too over-the-top. But what do you guys think? Am I just complaining about something I've never seen? Does Gundam have more good to offer a viewer than bad? Will the crazy continuity make it easy or hard to find a good jumping-on point? Should this franchise be given a chance by people? What are your thoughts & feelings about Gundam? Thanks in advanced!

The Origin 0079 08th MS Team 0080 0083 Zeta ZZ Char's Counterattack Victory F91 Unicorn And other than that, everything is standalone. There are a couple sequels, but they share part of their name with their predecessor (SEED Destiny, Build Fighters Try), so they're easy to identify.

Huh... Never knew Victory was part of that continuity..... Also didn't Amuro just went AWOL during the whole Zeta shows?
