Disney doesn't want another Dreamworks problem on their hands by telling the writers and animators what to do, taking away their creative freedom and potentially causing them to quit.
That said, Incredibles 2, if made, better not focus on Jack-Jack.

So saw Pacific Rim today and I've got to say it was worth the wait. This movie was freaking epic and i gotta say chain sword FTW.

I watched Assassination Games, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme
I was expecting an 80s-90s action flick, with a thin story/plot, silly/fun one liners, and lots of fun martial arts. It was not that. It was a serious story, with little martial arts (only one fight scene that I can think of), a few gun fights, very few one-liners, and those were pretty downplayed. The mood and tone of the film, and how I felt during and after seeing it, reminded me of Road to Perdition. I expected JCVD to not be a great actor in a serious role, but I think this worked. Maybe because he was portraying a cold, unfeeling, unemotional assassin, but I thought he pulled it off well. For not being at all what I was hoping to see when I put it in, I really enjoyed it, and I'd say if you enjoyed Road to Perdition you should give it a watch. 8+/10 |

Saw The Wolverine today and it felt...small.
Rather than my recent cinema experiences, Pacific Rim and Man of Steel, it would seem characters and story were the focus here, not the action. I mean there were a lot of impressive action scenes but there is only like two mutants other than Logan in the whole film, neither of which Logan ends up fighting. With so many ninjas and samurai flying about I was waiting for one of them to turn out to be a mutant and an epic fight to break out, but it never came. It wasn't a bad film, but I expected a popcorn flick and got a cerebral flick instead, so it took me a while to adjust and get the feel for it.
