I like the orb gimmick but the zords and overall combined mode look too brick-like. Doesn't really look like the lion that forms the body really transforms at all. I'm excited to start seeing reviews of how it turns out but I probably won't be getting any this time around.

That Kyutama gimmick seems like Kyoryuger all over again. Although I'm almost certainly going to pick up the I-assume-inevitable minipla, the DX toy here is an easy pass for me. There's barely any transformation involved in any of these, and I'm growing less and less enamored of Sentai mecha limbs that are just the untransformed components attached. (I'm looking at YOU, Gekiatsu Dai-Oh.) The Kyutama's placement is kind of a neat idea, and kind of something that guarantees that the limbs can't have articulation. I think I like Hebitsukai Silver's mecha the best: it actually has some transformation to it! Ditto the Tenbin Gold's Libra. I'm curious as to why these are the two team members with robot component mecha like Shinobimaru and Rodeomaru. I'd expect those for the red/10th heroes. Washi Pink's falcon is great as a standalone, although I'm not fond of it as an arm. In fact, I like most of the mecha designs, just not as limbs for Kyuren-Oh. Despite my misgivings, I like all of these dramatically more than most Zyuohger mecha. It's just no Gekitouja or MagiKing, design-wise. |

These are awesome! Galaxies (Pun intended) better than the garbage fire that was Zyuohking.

The main mecha do look pretty good. I'll wait for a review, but I think there's a good chance that I'll get the main set. None of the additional mecha look all that good as replacement limbs, so if I'm not sure I'll get any of them.
Hopefully we'll get some good shots of the changer here soon. I have a feeling that'll be another really thempting purchase.

I'm kinda liking how these look. But also kinda unimpressed
Either way I'll probably end up getting at least the initial 9 Speaking of which. Pre-orders are now up at HLJ for all 9, kyuza weapon and the seiza blaster |

I'd be very surprised if they didn't. It'll probably be a Shishi equivalent, maybe the main mecha of a 10th hero.

Though I'm hoping that the crystals will be clear plastic and not having to apply some decal to a round surface. Though thinking ahead to future mecha, I can't help but to see the 2 clips on the top of Washi Pink (toward the tail). That screams wing backpack. |

Should note, all the other KyuRanger stuff coming out in February already has official images/information up in places. Including the minipla for those interested.
It does look quite good. But I guess that's off-topic. I share sentiments with others on the DX mecha. It looks alright, but the lack of transformation is kinda disappointing. I also don't really like Shishi Voyager's head or how it looks as a helmet. Eh. |
