Going from disliked to enjoyed would definitely be Gaim. I hated the idea of break dancing fruit samurai, but the solid writing won me over.
However, I do still really dislike the turn the final few episodes took, but that's neither here nor there. As a whole, I still enjoyed it when it got into gear. Going from liked to disliked would be Decade. It was the epitome of style over substance, and one that really pissed me off. On the Sentai side of things, Zyuohger for sure. I was skeptical of it's generic t-shirt style suits and nowhere moving plot, but once I really grew to the characters, it's charm won me over and I adored it.

For Power Rangers I have to say Ninja Storm. Back then I didn't really like the drastic change from Wild Force, and didn't help that Dino Thunder came afterwards which is a blast.
But giving it a second chance later on, I realized that the show was trying to recreate MMPR in modern day (being more lighthearted and fun), and it really succeeded as a soft reboot. On an even lesser extent, Lightspeed Rescue. I didn't hate the series at all, but at the time it wasn't my favorite. But after learning that Titanium Ranger is the original US exclusive Ranger, and the fact that it is the first truly standalone Power Rangers series, it became a dear favorite of mine, so much that I want a Titanium Ranger series.

Lightspeed Rescue actually. As a kid, I simply thought the season was alright. But, a few years back, I was talking about the series with a friend of mine, who mentioned that LSR was actually one of his favorite seasons ever since he'd been a pre-teen. So I rewatched it with him, and yeah, it's really well done.
Unlike alot of people though, I didn't suddenly realize Carter was cool(I always knew that), but I was reminded how how great a character Joel was. Dude is legit enjoyable to watch, and having an organically growing romance on the show for once was really sweet. Last edited by DreamSword; 04-18-2020 at 08:37 AM.. |

I even wrote some stories for Ryan, although it's ultra fan-fiction level.

I've wondered about the Titanium Ranger and where he stands these days. Since he is exclusive to Power Rangers, he wasn't a concern for Toei when they did "Gokai Silver: Gold Mode", which omits the Titanium Ranger Helmet Face for obvious reasons. Problem with Super Megaforce is they made no effort to address "Why?" in a Power Ranger context! Did Titanium Power negatively affect Orion like it initially did Carter? Was Ryan on a secret mission somewhere, using his power too much? Is Ryan an "Extra Hero" as opposed to legitimate "Sixth Ranger"? Gosei mentioned something about the Legendary Silver Morpher being potentially lost, but not surprisingly, no further exposition. Was Ryan involved with that Morpher's creation somehow? I'd like to see Ryan lead a team of Silver and other variations in a "Forever Silver" crossover which answers some of this! Maybe they can also explain whether Robo Knight is dead or alive, cause "Legendary Battle" undid most of that and obfuscated his final fate. P. S.: More on topic, I'd recommend Changeman! I didn't expect it to be good even when I first got it into it, as any info I had on it made it seem like the quintessential "blip-on-a-screen" Toku up until that point, but it surprised me when I watched it the first time.
