I also think that Disney is in the process of controlling all things children's entertainment which ensures an endless return, especially if you factor in adult nostalgia. I mean, they own nearly everything! Don't be shocked when they finally acquire DC Comics within this next generation!

It was a very different program from what they're known for. Live action wasn't the problem, likely more to do with the whole "Power Rangers is too Violent/Causes Violence" controversy that crops up every now and then. I don't think "it's stupid" is a valid argument considering they can, and have, churned out much dumber things to make a buck.

And yet we STILL got more original fight footage than after Saban took over again. The Mouse may not have cared about the show, but if that level of financing is what you get when you're kept around just because, sign me up.

Yeah... don't count on that happening anytime soon, if ever. WB has owned DC for a looong time now, through both good and bad times. With things going so well for DC right now, there's no way they would let go of them.

I doubt that would happen. DC wanted Marvel to buy them back in the 1980's and Marvel didn't want to own DC because they would pretty much rule over the whole Comic Book market. I don't think it would be much now.

ummm... ok, I don't see your point. Can you elaborate for me?
Like I said, DC has a lot going good for them these days, so there's no reason for WB to sell them, let alone to a big bit of competition like Disney.

Yeah I agree here star wars doesn't prove any point disney bought them at a low point. clone wars was being canceled and the books were bombing at the time not that they were bad they were just not selling well. On top of that no one wanted to touch star wars for sole fact that the fans were verbally lynch mobbing Lucas. Disney did not buy Star Wars they Bought Lucasfilm and all its subsidiaries like THX and Skywalker Sound getting Star Wars was a bonus.
and as for the Disney era and them not caring it was more a give and take. The show runners wanted to continue to make show like they always had but as time went on Disney would've been happy just Dubbing the Sentai. It was definitely an issue of cost and when RPM came around disney was ready to put it to bed because everything else they had bought from Saban like Digimon had well ended.
