No, I mean, the first half of Hibiki is pretty good.
The second portion introduces an asshole rival character and becomes a cliche storm without all the visual flare and variety of the first half. I really couldn't even finish the series

Hi, I'm an old fart over at TFW2005 but only just now managed to register, with, uh, some help dealing with the security question (I am not a smart man).
I'm currently (slowly) working my way through the original Kamen Rider, which is also my first Kamen Rider and first toku series (if you exclude the Godzilla movies), but I still consider myself a fan. I mean, when Bandai announced the figuarts of the original Cyclone, I had to have it and made a decision to buy all the SHF Riders from the Showa era - and so far that decision's held. I mean, I have to be a fan to do something like that, right? |

Welcome, now you're our new old fart. And you wouldn't believe how long it took me to get through TFW's security question. Only to realize that they don’t like German e-mail clients.
Anyways, welcome to Tokunation, I hope you enjoy your stay and that we hear frequently from your adventures throughout the world of Showa Rider. And I would also recommend trying some modern Rider if you're bored of the classics one day, they did some great shows during the last 16 years. |

Hello everybody! ^_^
Hmm...Let's see, where to start..Been into Power Rangers most of my life, got into Kamen Rider after watching KR 555, been addicted ever since- and I can definitely say I'm more of a KR fan than a SS fan- and I also like to watch Ultra Man every once in a while. In terms of collecting, I stopped collecting DX Super Sentai Stuff after buying the entire Shinkenger line- because the Samurai Haoh is a fantastic display piece, but the lack of articulation doesn't justify the amount of money it takes to assemble it- and after that I just didn't see the point in collecting anymore SS DX toys- I'd rather put my money into something more articulated, like Soul of Chogokin, Super Robot Chogokin, SH Figuarts, Super Imaginative Chogokin, Marvel Legends, Figma, Mafex, Transformers, Robot Spirits/Robot Damashii, Ultra-Act line, Sentinel Riobot line, and things like that- something with engineering that justifies the financial investment. "You do realize that DX SS toys are meant for kids, right? That's why they're built that way."- Yes I do, it took me 20 years to wise up on it, but yes- and I stopped. lol "What have you bought recently?"- Well, in recent months I've gotten these- some have arrived, some are still on the way: SHF B-fighters/Big Bad Beetleborgs Blue Beet SHF B-fighters/Big Bad Beetleborgs G-Stag & Reddie SHF Garo Ryuga (fully gold version) SHF Iron Man Mark 3 SHF Avengers Hulk SHF Super Saiyan 2 Gohan Battle Damaged Ver. SHF Kamen Rider 1 Movie Ver. (Neo Ichigo) Mafex Iron Man Mark 45 SRC Giant Robo SRC Kokuboger SOC GX-71 Golion/Voltron Playmates Voltron Legendary Defender Combinable Lion Set Altimites DX SD Fully Transformable Lion Voltron Toynami Ultimate Voltron EX SDCC Blazing Sword Voltron Ultra-Act Kryeloid (for my SHF KR, SS, and Metal Heroes to fight ^_^) Robot Spirts Heroman Robot Spirits Gundam Barbatos SIC Kamen Rider Zangetsu Melon Arms SIC Kamen Rider Gaim Orange Arms SIC Kamen Rider Drive Type-Speed Figure-Rise Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta Figure-Rise Super Saiyan 4 Goku Sentinel Riobot Detonator Orgun Sentinel 4-inch Dark Rockman/Mega Man Planet X Jupiter (FOC Optimus Prime) Titans Return Broadside So you see, I try to dip my toe in many ponds- I try to be flexible and give a wide range of products a chance- because I used to only collect SS and KR stuff, but then I started watching reviews on other products and realized I was missing out, so now my collecting's reached a much more vast window of interest- that and every time somebody walks into my basement, their eyes get big, and they usually say something like, "OH..MY..GOD." LOL But it's nice to meet you guys, I'm happy to be here, and I hope you had a good week. ^_^ Last edited by Phaseborg; 02-17-2017 at 09:52 AM.. |

Thanks!
In terms of Toku series: Favorite SS Series: Megaranger/Power Rangers in Space- awesome mecha. Favorite SS member: Captain Marvelous- he's such a smooth prick. lol Favorite KR Series: Honestly, it's a tie between 555 and Kabuto- they're both really cool. Favorite KR: Tsukasa Kadoya/KR Decade- He's a smooth prick too. lol Favorite KR Ultimate Form: KR Ghost Heisei Rider Soul Form- could you imagine the amount of damage there'd be if you paired KR Ghost Heisei Rider Soul Form with KR Decade Complete form- or even if they fought each other. What a mess.. Yeah- everywhere I go people always make a mental health reference, so I've come to realize that I can be rather intense, and most people struggle processing it- but hey: Embrace what you can't fix- I am how I am- and if I'm a crazy nut now, I'll be a crazy nut until I die. ^_^ |
