July haul is in!
Spider-Man: Fake Red: This is hands down one of the best Spider-Man stories I've read, and I highly recommend it. SHF NWH Andrew Spidey: A solid figure all around. I'd read that swapping the neck pegs between him and Tom fixed the neck proportions for both of them, and while it does help, it's definitely something that benefits Tom more than it does Andrew. SHF Alien Mefilas: Now I can tell you all of my favorite sayings. Speaking of which... Shin Ultraman on Blu-Ray: If you heard that the subs were fixed on the US release, go check to be sure. I checked mine and yeah, the subs are screwed up, and it looks like I won't be able to get it replaced either. Granted, I prefer the dub anyway, but it still sucks to have a defective copy. Seihou Kamen Rider Birth: So glad to have a wonderful figure of Goto, the Secondary Rider of OOO. SHF Cure Moonlight: I might think Heart Catch is overrated, but I still really liked Moonlight as a character, so when I saw a listing of her figure that was close to the original price? Had to grab it. Nendoroid Klonoa: Wahoo! SHF Superhero Pan: Not gonna lie, this figure is actually pretty bad for the most part. Like, it's serviceable, but by SHF standards it definitely falls short. Try and get her on discount if you can. SHF Superhero Broly: Not as strong as previous Broly releases, but I still think it's pulled off solid enough overall. The main issue is the reuse of the old legs. If they'd just made new, more proportionate legs for this figure, it'd be aces. McFarlane Gold Label Ninja Spawn: It has alot of the same issues as the old one, unfortunately. But, the accessories are nice and the extra sculpt and paint detail do help.

That's an interesting Spider-Man book and I'm definitely gonna read it, but as someone that does 3D modelling with perspective and stuff, it's impossible for those villains to be that large in that reflection ;p

I?ve seen a lot of comments stating Pan?s head is way too big, and I think I agree. The figure should probably be more proportioned like the Anya or Chiaotzu figures I have included for comparison. Why isn?t pan proportioned like Anya? Would they feel bad about charging $50 for a figure the size of Anya? Lol? Is that why they made Pan?s head way too big? It?s definitely weird to have Pan posed next to Adult Gohan, and her head is bigger than his. |

SHF Kamen Rider Buffa
Turned out looking great. Can't do a deep elbow bend because of the shape of the armor, but other than that I have no issues The form changes are really easy and fun, I'm really glad Tamashii went with this gimmick. A mix of more figures and options parts in the future will make this one of the best SHF lines for sure |

Got in Lightning Collection Deluxe Rita Repulsa
Solid release. Faces look fantastic in-person. Body works well, even though she has the old single-joint elbows. Very glad I waited for her instead of going in for that Wedding set back then.

Yo! I did not know Lightning Collection had this in em! Oh man. That figure is excellent.
At first I was gonna suggest getting some thin/see-through twine to wrap around the waist to try and make that dress not look like she was wearing a sack, but that’s how she literally looked. They nailed it! Man. Those expressions are great too. Fantastic figure! Edit: also incredible lineup shot there. They all look great together Last edited by Rabbitman; 08-05-2023 at 07:32 PM.. |
