Was there a Power Rangers episode where they actually used Japanese footage of SOMETHING and worked it into an episode? I'm not sure if it was exactly the series' counterpart, but they used it.
I remember I hated the episode when I was little, but now I can't remember what episode, or even what season it was from! Does anybody else remember this, or am I just crazy? |

You're probably thinking of "Lost and Found in Translation," the Dino Thunder episode that featured actual footage from the Sentai version (intentionally) badly dubbed like the old USA version of Dynaman.
In fairness, though, every episode of Power Rangers uses Japanese footage. |

That might be it! I'll have to look it up on Netflix tonight. Thanks. :]
And, true about the Japanese footage. xD I never knew that as a kid though. |

Yeah as a kid I never noticed either, but watching Dino Thunder again, when in the fist episode they say "oh no they're attacking downtown!" I was like "yeah, downtown Tokyo"

I always thought that was a pretty funny episode of Dino Thunder. People who complain about that episode seriously need to get a sense of humor. The whole thing was obviously in good fun, and not meant to be malicious.

If I had known about Sentai, I would've found it funny. Looking back, that was a really good episode! lol

I liked that episode if for no other reason than to see the regular Abaranger badguys (excepting of course their appearance in that one team-up episode). I like American badguys as much as the next guy but I like seeing the Japanese ones as well. (As such, whilie I remain a fan of Scorpius and Trakeena, I marked out like a lunatic for Captain Mutiny. Ditto for Furio!)

That was awesome! Seemed like a great tip of the hat to the Sentai counterparts. Perhaps the Power Ranger adaption of Gokaiger could have more of that type of stuff.
