So is it all dvds and then Blu-Ray or is it all Blu-Ray.
It just seems weird to just not put the whole series on Blu Ray just to have less discs. |

Mercifully, it looks like there's no new bonus content from either the first complete MMPR set or the helmet set. Just the movie Blu-ray, which hopefully will get a single release soon. |

Yeah, all valid. Good question. Also, I'd love to see screenshot comparisons of the difference between regular and Blu-Ray. I mean, what we really need for MMPR/Zyuranger is the kind of restoration they did for Star Trek: TNG when they put that on Blu-Ray. Really made it beautiful.

Does the MMPR Movie actually have any extras on it? Or is it like the TMNT Movie Blu-rays where it's basically an upscale of the DVDs, menus & features and all?

Of course I wouldn't mind the effects being improved. By improved I mean updated in quality, not put in some random bams and stuff like Disney did. |

I kinda really want this, but that price...damn. I mean, not that I think it should be cheaper, but damn.

It could have been if they still had the Masters but most of the Mighty Morphin episodes are sourced from broadcast VHS tapes which is why some episodes have the Fox Kids watermark in the corner. For example, The Island of Illusion two parter is significantly lower in quality than the rest of the episodes. Even if they had the Masters the difference of film quality, film grain, and framerate between Japanese and American footage would be jarringly noticeable.
