I'm sure this is a hard question to answer without any other Ressha's available but how stable does it feel? Will ToQOh hold up to multiple combinations or could we be in for another year of disappointing breakage a la Kyoryujin?

It's VERY solid. The connectors are intelligent and strong. The sliding locks for the toros bit can't be undone without releasing the triggers. Same thing with the feet, very very strong. The clips that will facilitate the future combinations appear to be made a bit better this time as well. They don't require much force at all to use. So I'm not nearly as concerned that breakages will occur this time. But I'll have more Ressha's to handle Monday so I can more definitively answer you then.

I'd already shot this gallery before the episode aired!

Definitely gonna be looking out for the Minipla this year. If there was one thing that wasn't compromised, it definitely wasn't the articulation.

Lovely gallery, as always, Den-O. I am completely heads over heels with this guy.
Still, the size is a bit of a point of contention as you said, because it is quite small for its asking price. Do you think it's worth the retail asking price?

The more I see of ToQOh, the more its design grows on me. The swappable ressha really remind me of the headers from Goseiger, which were one of my favorite gimmicks in recent years. Can't wait to get mine next week

I'm still gonna hold out for the eventual BoA release 'cause I know the Zord Builder Megazords usually look real good, so US Release Zord Builder Tokkyu-Oh will look a lot cooler (And be a whole lot cheaper too...)

I'm glad I own him got the sake of my mechs collection, but he's definitely the weakest mecha since I don't know when. He's small, skinny and silly looking and the only saving factor is how fun the trains are combined with the ToQ Changer, so he's worth getting for that alone. I fell in love with Kuoryujin the second I got my hands on him, this guy, however is very "meh", especially for the main mecha of the season.
On the plus side, I've played with mine LOTS and there's no sign of anything that could break, so it beats Kyoryuger hands down there. |
