really? I tried a black sharpie on the MG Figurerise Double kits, and it rubbed off really easy, and a metallic silver sharpie on the Gokaiger PatStriker minipla and it just wiped off on to my fingers. no good at all. Acutally, now that I think about it, it was a set of metallic sharpies, but they may not have been Sharpie brand sharpies, but they were advertised as permanent on a variety of surfaces, including plastic. but it was all lies.
I went back to Walmart and picked up their Gold and Silver paint markers for $3 each, and they work great, and look fantastic, they are an absolutely gorgeous gold and silver. I'm almost done with PatStriker and GaoLion, I'll post pics once I'm done. |

Yep, those are what I'm using. I have two of the 5 packs, $10 each, plus the silver and gold, at $3 each.
I use the fine sizes, except on the gold and silver where I derped up and grabbed the medium size, which is freaking HUGE when dealing with a small kit. But I just dump a lot of paint on the bigger spots, or on a paper, and apply with a brush to the areas the fatter tip can't reach. But unless you're doing huge swaths of plastic, get the fine tip. I'm still pretty tempted to grab a set of metallic Gundam markers from HLJ, though, for metallic blue, red and green, though I don't know what I'd use it on. Oh, one more thing I've been doing. I don't know if it's because I'm painting too many areas at once, or if I'm just a klutz, but I am always touching the not-yet-dried-paint and smearing it around on other colors, the red in particular seemed to still feel kinda tacky after drying over night. So, I picked up a spray can of clear Triple Glaze, or something like that, from Walmart for $3, and I used it the other day to spray down the pieces of PatStriker I'm done with, and after it dried I think it looks pretty fantastic. It's a decent gloss (I like gloss), plus it feels like it will protect the paint well. I likes it. Just got to finish up the white paint on the rear of PatStriker, glaze it, and it's done. |

Wait, minipla ace is already out? How is the poseability on it? I've seen reviews showing that miniplas have articulation unlike their DX counterparts

It's got pretty much all the articulation you could want. Flick back two pages, tons of pictures from zeoranger, shinken red and myself =] They've also just released GT-02 and RH-03 minipla's.

Am gonna have to hold off on the rest of Go-BusterOh for a little while, as I spent all my spare cash on SRC Magiking earlier this week and have two other preorders due for the end of the month.
Can't imagine they'll disappear of ebay any time soon anyways.

I have a big box of minipla on the way from CSToys. Besides GobusterOh, I decided to just grab everything I had been wanting for awhile. I got the Gokai Machine vol.2 6 piece set, Machalcon, an extra Gokai Galeon for Kanzen GokaiOh, and Gosei Ultimate. I'm going to be busy for awhile. lol
The only thing I'm missing from Gokaiger is Gojyujin. I'll likely get one off of Ebay next week when I get my next paycheck.
