Have you ever wanted to build your own monster? Maybe you're jonesing for more modular toylines like Mugenbine, or you really want to try the HoneHone Saurs toys but the good ones sell out too fast? Or maybe you want a unique new Ultraman toyline to collect?
Never fear, Ultra Bone is here! Ultra Bone is a Bandai minifigure line, sold as boxed candy toys and capsule Gashapon releases, of famous Ultra monsters as skeletons, using a modular ball-and-socket design to mix-and-match pieces or build your own crazy creature. As an added incentive to "catch 'em all" each Ultra Bone figure has a chase black-skeleton variant on top of the standard bone-colored (naturally!) release. Series 1 of the candy toys have already been released, and the first Gashapon series is expected later this month. Check out images of the first sets of figures, Bandai Japan's TV spots from YouTube, video review courtesy of bonorenosan and maybe show off your own creations by checking our discussion thread! Ultra Bone TV spots:
Ultra Bone candy toy series 1 consists of Baltan, Gomora, Antlar, Gubira, Twintail, and Birdon. AmiAmi and Hobby Link Japan both carry series 1, but it is currently out-of-stock at AmiAmi. Ultra Bone Gashapon series 1 consists of Zetton, Eleking, Metron, Kanegon, Gan Q, and Dinotank. As with many gashapon lines I have only seen HLJ carry them, and they are currently sold out. They should also be potentially available through eBay and middleman services upon release. Review courtesy of bonorenosan:

Those are pretty cool. I'm not a big Ultraman fan, but I wouldn't mind owning one or two of those.

SWEET MERCIFUL CRAP THOSE ARE AWESOME.
Although I am pretty sure that the Baltans and Antlar don't have skeletons, being insects, but still! Gomora and Gubira, man those two are just so neat. Damn it!

Those are really cool. Reminds me of a dinosaur I had as a kid.

Juuuuust a little over $23 from HLJ. AmiAmi's listing was cheaper but they haven't restocked yet, if it will. Not bad for a case.
