Pros:
I love the individual painted eyes. The gimmick items look pretty cool, and I'd be interested to see how the combined mode looks with switched out globes. The constellation theme is pretty solid. Some nice articulation on the humanoid mechs. Combined mode looks satisfyingly chunky. Cons: Mixed level of detail on the individual mechs; Washi and Ookami look very biological while the others don't. Yet another torso-limb-limb-limb-limb set up. Combined form has no real hands, and looks like its shoulders are too far forward (holding off for in hand images on that thought). Shishi mech looks disconcertingly torso-like. 8 limb mechs on day 1 is a worrying sign. |

I like them design wise but the whole limb swap thing kinda bores me. Still need to collect zyuohger mech so ill wait on these. Like the glowing gimmick tho

Should note, all the other KyuRanger stuff coming out in February already has official images/information up in places. Including the minipla for those interested.
It does look quite good. I've had problems with clear plastic mini-pla sets, but the crystals are pretty static, so hopefully it'll be a non-issue. |

That image is getting me really excited for the minipla. Look at those color separations! Although I can make out some clear stickers, it looks like each mecha will involve at least three color sprues (including the Kyutama,) so it seems that like the Zyuohger minipla, stickering will be at a minimum. It looks like it keeps at least some of the jaw joints from the DX versions. Elbows (albeit without much range) and a waist! What looks like rocker ankles!
It also doesn't look like we have to actually handle/move the clear parts after assembly, which is when the clear plastic becomes problematic. Looks like there's a sticker or two inside. (I could be wrong if there's a reason to rotate them.) |

For those interested in the minipla, Amiami has it up, both as a standard 12-box assortment, and a set of just the six actual components.
So, you know, that's convenient. |

So everything apart from Red can be an arm or a leg?
I like that it's interchangeable, but we do need another torso bot down the line. |
