I just pre-ordered Grease SHF from BBTS.
The price made me hurt inside a little bit, but I really like the figure/character, so... They're asking $120. for Grease and $115. for Rogue. (rounded up.) Grease is due in August and Rogue in September. Was almost tempted to pre-order Rogue too because the character is growing on me, but i can't do close to $250. for two SHF figures that I probably wont even take out of the box. (at that price I feel like it'd be crazy to actually play with it, which sort of sucks.) I'll have a Grease to go with my Rabbit/Tank though. |

I think we talked about this, but I seem to have forgotten why you don't just use a middleman service. You would save like 30-40 bucks on Grease alone. |

normally I buy from HobbyLinkJapan and I think their prices are fair.
I kept looking around and asking about Grease since it was exclusive and no one said they were going to get it. So when I checked my BBTS account today and saw that Rogue was listed I took a look at him but then saw Grease and my excitement got the better of me. Honestly I didn't think I was going to be able to get Grease at all because of it being exclusive. And I knew since I paid, ($105?) for Amazon Jin/Alpha that if BBTS did manage to get Grease it was going to be over $100. It does depend on the figure. So far Grease and Jin are the only two figures I've been willing to pay so much for. And they're both exclusive. (white eyes, season 2 version of Jin.) probably part of it is just being comfortable with BBTS and HLJ.
I like the websites, they're easy to see and use. They don't look cheap or sketchy like a lot of sites. No argument though that BBTS charges out the ass on some things, to an almost ridiculous (100% markup) extent. |

I'm almost glad I'm not really tempted by this. I like Kazumin and I like Greases's design but much like a lot of other Build Figuarts I think he looks way too lanky and skinny.
Just...whew. A real shame because everything else pretty much looks on point, even like the extra accessories in the Fullbottles ( the dog tags would have been cool too but probably asking too much). The proportions not matching what we actually see in the show at all just kills it for me, though. |

with the translucent nature of the plastic it could depend on surrounding lighting too though.
But who knows. Grease was the one figure more than any other on the show that I really wanted an SHF of so I'm pretty happy they made it and I can get one. I'm tempted by Rogue and Blood Stalk and Cross Z Charge (I might still order Cross Z charge. I had it pre-ordered but I cancelled it when I thought I couldn't get Grease to complete the trio. Now I'm second guessing that choice.) But with Grease so expensive I might just stick with Grease and Rabbit/Tank Hopefully Den-O orders them and we get some great pics of Grease and Cross Z |

So I was low-key afraid that the shoulder pads wouldn't be able to rotate because none of the official pics showcased it, and since it was done mostly with CG in the show it could’ve been possible that Tamashii missed it for some reason.
Thankfully the newest blog entry finally shows us that the figure can do it: http://blog.livedoor.jp/shfiguarts/a...071302927.html Last edited by Kiwami; 05-20-2018 at 02:36 AM.. |
