I'm super interested in Short/So-Do but I don't really know the difference. I saw Blade Raider's post and it made sense, but I was looking at all the So-Do Zi-O stuff and I wanted to get sets that were interchangeable so I can do things like give Decade Armor it's other form changes besides what the RKF allows.
Do I just buy them all? Or is there ones I can skip? Best place to buy them? I see "cross armor" and normal action body and I don't get the difference. Thanks for any further info that can be provided. Currently the Decade armor is availablee with build or ex-aid bodies. bodies and armors are available sepperatly. larger armors (OOO, Gaim, Wizard) do not go on the same action bodies as other armors, but on the standard Zi-o/Geiz bodies. Amiami currently have a few of the earlier sets on sale, ebay is also decent. |

To build a complete figure, you need 1 Cross Armor and 1 Action Body. The exact one you want depends on the figure. For example, there's a Generic Woz Action Body, and you can buy Cross Armors for his different base forms. Ginga Finally is more different, so it has a specialised Action Body as well as Cross Armor.
For Decade Armor in particular, its base Action Body and Cross Armor (for the standard Zi-O mode) were released in Wave 5, so January-ish time, while the RabbitTankSparkling, Might Brothers XXL/R had dedicated Cross Armor and Action Bodies come out recently. Since the Action Bodies have the legs, and the main change for Decade Armor is the legs, they all have different ones. TaJaDol and Grateful are coming out soon-ish, I've been too busy to keep track of So-Do lately. So yeah, my best advice is to pick forms you like, and then maybe come ask here as to what you need to build them. If it's an upgrade form, you can probably just buy a specialised cross armor and an action body and be done with it.

Some of the blog's images show this quite well.
A lot of figures (in the conventional candy toy current series part of the line) are split up. So in this wave if you want Grand Zi-O you need the body from box 2 and the armour from box 1, Woz Ginga Finally is 3+4, and Decade Armour OOO is 5+6 (not sure why the Decade Armour Grateful body is here but the armour isn't, can't remember if it was in a previous wave). But a lot of places will sell the full assortment (ie all of RIDE10, maybe with some duplicates) all in one and it's generally easier to buy it that way. Also, some assortments are mixed because it's purely chronological. So one set is, for example, Kilbas, Trinity and Zi-O Decade Ex-Aid. I don't think the other stuff like X or Chronicle ever does that though. |

Thanks guys.
I ordered Sodo Decade and his accessory box, and Sodo Zi-o. We'll see how it goes from there. EDIT: Any suggestions on paint markers/pens? I want to try my hand at painting these guys but I'm an amateur. Last edited by MnemonicSyntax; 07-07-2019 at 06:55 PM.. |

Tend to use a brush myself, but Gundam Markers are always good. I use their gold marker all the time on candy toys.

Thanks Blade.
Any suggestions for a good magenta that matches Decade? And is it the same "pink" used for Zi-O? Thanks for any help provided! |

Just looking at the Blog Post, and the ending has this:
X7に関しても絶賛進行中 Green and Red, to me, imply V3, and Yellow and Red could mean Riderman? That would make a whole wave of: V3 Riderman Hurricane A/B Riderman Machine A/B. Of course, these could easily be placeholder colours, but none of the other Riders seem to fit Green and Red, except maybe Skyrider? He seems far less obvious for an update, though.

V3 is in great need of an update to. The antennas break easily and he doesn't have hands for his V3 pose. V3 was in the very first wave and that wave had hard plastic antennas and uniformed hands.
Aside from V3, the other ShodoVS figure in greatest need of an upgrade is probably X Rider. He was also from the first wave and has most of the same issues as V3. He only has one of his weapons and X Rider has a bunch. Perfect for an accessory set. EDIT: Come to think of it, yellow and red are used on X Rider's scarf. However, I would guess Riderman first since he's from V3 and Shodo-X seems to theme their waves to a single series. Only exception was putting DiEnd in the Faiz wave.
