I really dig the Stealth FMCS set, it's pretty awesome, and the other sets are really cheap on Mandarake, if you wanted to get the entire line.

Hi, everyone. Time to bring this thread back to life with a Fourze question:
I have Basestates, Firestates, and Elekstates on FMCS. I love them for the playability, both in terms of ease and flexibility. Plus, I can lend them to my kids (ages 7 and 2) with minimal worry. I also have Basestates on SHF. Now Figuarts are beautiful, but I only have two others (Gaim Orange Arms and Den-O Climax Form), because it takes me quite some time to earn the money and conviction to buy them. Part of what pushed me to buy Basestates was how the seller sold it to me for US$65 while he threw in Module Set 01, the Stand and Effects Set, and Machine Massigler. Now while I love the amount of detail and accessories included, I must confess that the tiny Astro Switches (like Gaim's tiny Lock Seeds) make me a bit nervous. Like I said, I have kids, and I don't let them touch the Figuarts even if they beg. (Sorry, kids!) Recently, I've been thinking of buying the other Fourze FMCS that I'm still missing. Most certainly Magnetstates, Cosmicstates, and the SP set, though I'm on the fence about Rocketstates. (Meteor's a different case altogether--if I'm getting him, it will be SHF, not FMCS.) Normally, this wouldn't be a dilemma, except that the pricing now seems really expensive, probably because it's been half a decade since these toys were released. FMCS: Rocketstates - US$32 Magnetstates - US$39 Cosmicstates - US$45 SP Set - US$75 To complicate matters further, the SHF Cosmicstates is around US$41. That figure's beautiful too, though it's making me want to complete all the forms (Elek and Fire at US$30 each, though Magnet is unfortunately unavailable). Should I still buy the FMCS? They would get more use out of me and the kids, only because they're meant to be played with, unlike SHF... |
