Oh, you think it's people in my area who never talk about it, I'm including the internet as a whole on this one...
Mind, I live in a geek wasteland, where I have to trek miles to find some pitiful oasis. |

Runaway Success in regards to what? Ratings?
Where are you getting this information? Because I'm seeing Turbo and Samurai be ranked as "High Ratings" seasons, so that doesn't mean much. People soon came to hate those, and I doubt Saban didn't hear about it, nor Boom. People love In Space as this magnificent end to a specific era of Power Rangers. Taking forever to get to that would be foolish. RPM is considered the best Disney season, and even better than some Saban seasons, and it was on PR's last legs. Time Force, my personal preference aside, is known to be well loved, as is still a Saban season, so it doesn't have the "taint" of being one produced by Disney. Even Michael Bay's Transformers movies bother to add in later season/series characters, they don't make everything 100% about Optimus and Bumblebee. Just 80%. So limiting this return to loving Power Rangers bubble in time we're in to just MMPR is going to run the well dry with that attitude. |

Last thing I'm going to say about this. They all referenced people they know to speak about that specific persons opinion which is still secondhand and doesn't speak to the majority of the fandom like you talked about. You spoke about the people you know at numerous comic book stores to back up a theory that a majority of the fandom feels the same way. You can only prove that a majority of the people you've talked to feel a certain way and I use the word "prove" very loosely. I never once asserted anything about any group only that you couldn't possibly do it either. Done. |

Do it, there will be tons of logical fallacies to talk about.

Edit: Might I add that statistics aren't always correct nor do they always fully represent the whole. But you know what the hell I mean.

*sighs* Do you know how statistics are proven? By talking groups of people and taking the data they've collected and going off of that. So, for instance, if you ask 10 people if they like pizza, and 9 say yes, then you can say that a majority of people like pizza. He's doing the exact same thing. He's been using statistics. NOW STOP THIS.
Done. |
