Whew there's a lot going on here.
First off: This seems like a logical company to take over making PR toys. Boy did I get some nostalgia looking through their catalog. Anyways, as for the future of the series...Hasbro is clearly experimenting and trying to figure out the best approach. The reception of the comics and the tv seasons have shown that there are other avenues other than just the traditional approach of recycling the in-suit footage from Sentai and editing it together with new footage meant for Western audiences. My guess? They'll pull a Star Wars-esque reset where they establish a new continuity moving forward that is based on the original MMPR -> In Space storyline and give us a variety of content within that framework. For example: - A nostalgic return of original cast members - Adaptations of the most popular comic storylines, like Lord Drakkon and Ranger Killer - A reboot that focuses on a new team with a new storyline, giving us a good entry point into this new universe while still building upon what came before - A more kid-esque animated entry. At least, I can only hope they do something similar, because that would be cool.

It would have made more sense if they gave it back to Bandai.
