Faiz 06.
Like a lot of older Rider shows, it's really hard to comment on these kinds of episodes. The plot, and the characters, are finally lurching into life, and the show is now beginning some semblance of forward motion but there is SO MUCH going on, and every scene is so brief because of it, it's hard to really have opinions or stuff to discuss. I certainly do want a lot of explanations though. If nothing else, I wanna know what exactly the fuck happened in Smart Brain. What was the significance of the floor. And what the fuck is in that room?. The action was dodgy this week though. I love it when the monsters of the week actively block the hero from transforming - it's only logical - but wow that suit actor wasn't even trying. I especially love the kicks into the space above the rider who was on the floor, it's like the suit actor genuinely couldn't see what he was doing. Although holy shit, was an Orphenoch introduced and not immediately killed off? I dunno what to feel. So many movies after the series is done, makes me happy!

OOO. I didn't have time to watch OOO when it was airing, and then Fourze started.
I believe I'm on episode 23, enjoying it so far. After OOO, Wizard is next. I always seem to behind a year of the series ending before I actually start watching... |

Faiz Episode 4
Ahahaha! Keitaro poked the Orphenoch with a stick. Priceless. Finally Mari is understanding Takumi. He's a jerk who could care less about staying around people and doesn't take orders. I mean it's clear he cares about her if he keeps showing up to save her, but still he's an asshole. Does his stomach hurt? What the hell would that have to do with anything? Having a stomach ache doesn't make you act like a dick. Being a dick makes you act like a dick. So our Orphenoch of the week is...a cactus? Huh, can't say I've ever seen a cactus as a monster in Kamen Rider. And Jesus, Faiz I'm trying to be nice here and not make hentai jokes but you're making it really hard not to! Smart Brain can track the belt? That actually makes sense. I mean we saw the belt in the opening of episode 1 when the scientists were getting attacked. And wasn't that a Smart Brain building? Not to mention it's housed in a case with Smart Brain's logo on it. If it is, it makes sense that they would be able to track the belt. If not, then yeah I don't know. Maybe they use radio frequencies or something. Ha, Mari taunting Takumi and his blowing habit. I'm liking this girl even more with every episode. OH! Sucka got BURNT! God the music playing during the Yuka/Keitaro scenes is so great. The music in the show as a whole has been great but this track is just arghhh. It's so emotional and pulls at your heart strings. I love it utterly. Which reminds me, since I'm enjoying the music so much, perhaps I should try to find the CD of the Faiz soundtrack. That's what you get for being a completely, utterly, unapologetic **nt. I'm sorry but Michiko, you deserve to die. And not just you. You're fuck faced shit bugged parents can die with you. So Keitaro not only took the belt, but he took Mari's bike? You know for someone who wants to be good and be a hero, he sure did steal quite a bit for his cause. Oh snap, the Orphenoch turned into Faiz! Guess that's the downside to not DNA locking these things, you run the risk of evil doers getting hold of it's power. Well now you know, and knowing is half the battle! Another thing I don't quite get is the whole Orphenoch projecting their human form as a silhouette thing. I don't know, I guess I just find it a bit odd that they do so. Not odd as in WTF. Just odd that they do it. Hell yeah! Time for Yuka to Carrie up this bitch! That was pretty predictable in all honesty. You could tell he was just going to turn on his partner the minute he got the belt and turned into Faiz. Though can't say I blame him. Wouldn't you do that as well, especially when your partner is annoying you with his bossing around? Besides, it's kinda a trope for something like that to happen in any series that has an evil duo. So yeah, meh. Oh yeah. Bad ass motorcycle robot time baby! He looks simply bad ass and appears to be as tough as a freaking tank. Who would have that that a motorcycle could turn into something like that? But...what's with the activation call? That's a little weird to be frank. Good to see Yuka got her revenge. She fucking deserved to give those bitches their comeuppances and I'm glad she did. I hope she goes after that **nt filled family of hers next. Seems like Takumi has had a change of heart. He gave out his name willingly, has accepted his duty to use the belt and protect and thus protect Mari. I also love how he's like "Oh and I want the bad ass transforming bike too." Then again who wouldn't want a belt like that? But overall it's nice to see him not acting as dickish now. Oooooooooooooo. I see Yuji is looking to build up a little army of sorts. Well the episode was, alright. It's as slow as episode 3 was, but also like episode 3 wasn't as boring as episode 1 was. The story didn't really move along that much, and the only development was for Takumi. But I won't complain over that. Especially since it seems like he is slowly beginning to shed his dick like attitude. Once again the episode was focused on characters outside of the main two, but like the third episode it worked here. It moved along both Yuka and Keitaro's story, as well as Yuji's, but in a very small amount. It was great to see Yuka get revenge on those bitches for how she's been treated, and I can't wait to see her family feel her wrath as they deserve it more then the girls at school do. I know I sound eager to see these characters die, but I'm sorry, they need to. They are vermin and I want to see them pay for their crimes. The fight scene was pretty meh. It wasn't all that exciting since Faiz didn't kick into action till like the very end of the episode. So that's a shame but eh. Actually it seems like (for now at least) Faiz is focusing more on the story within the episodes then the action. Which actually makes some sense. But I do admit, I wish there was more action. Four episodes in and so far I'm still fairly entertained. Episode 4 was as I said at the beginning alright. It wasn't as good as episode 2, but not as bad as episode 1. It's simply a meh episode.

I'm glad you guys are actually enjoying Faiz, it's not as dark and gloomy as everyone makes it out to be and is a very enjoyable series with a great cast.

I won't say it's not dark or gloomy till I finish it, but so far only episode 3 has really struck me as gloomy and depressing. Nothing so far makes me think dark. Yeah we saw a whole gym full of kids get the axe but that wasn't really dark to me, just impactful, but not a whole lot.
I'm getting some of the entertainment out of the series. I've already decided to now watch till after episode 10. So if I'm still engaged at that point, I'll keep going on. But for now, it's entertaining me but not a whole lot. It seems like a series with quite a bit hit or miss episodes in it.
