I like that it has clear plastic parts. However Ninninger has really put me off collecting this things right now so I probably won't be picking it up unless I see it cheap on Mandarake one day.
Hopefully next year's Sentai will draw me back in, because I've been collecting these since Gokaiger and it feels strange to have suddenly stopped. But, another day another ressha is complete! Last edited by Infinitevirtue; 11-10-2015 at 12:23 AM.. |

Double post but Diesel-Oh is 85% complete! I ran out of black paint so the front half of diesel ressha will have to wait till I get more.

This thread is making me start to consider picking up future Sentai mecha as minipla rather than DX. I'm just not sure I trust myself to do the work of painting the things. They just look way, way more dynamic in these forms. If I can't have Super Robot Chogokin Sentai mecha, these seem like the next best thing. I'm amazed elbows mean so much to me.

I go back and forth depending on the series. Sometimes I like the heft and clicky-ness of DX toys, and sometimes I prefer the MiniPla. ToQger had a great MiniPla line (minus TeiOh), with added poseability all over the place. Gekiranger also benefited greatly from the added joints. Samurai Ha-Oh from Shinkenger also looks more like a giant robot with a big backpack than a mech being hugged from behind and riding on its feet.
Also painting these guys makes them look beautiful. I'm lazy and have only painted certain series. |

It's been a while but I completed another set! This time its Gokai-Oh and took about a week to finish.
Still have the Pat Stiker, Magi Dragon and the Gaolion to build and paint. Might try to track down a reasonably priced Shinken-Oh set on Mandarake in the future. |

Damn that looks fantastic! Do you know if thats an official Bandai pic or has it been released? Not had a payment request.
Really eager to get my hands on this. After dropping Ninninger after Bison King last year I've really missed having these things in my life.

Yep, need this.
Also why can't BoA upscale this and add more robust joints and locking screws and stuff so we can get something that isn't so... 3 stacked Cubes-y when this becomes a PR series? Quote:
