Actually my point with that post is that all of that would basically be a scam but one they'd totally get away with.
Though if other people want and can buy them, I guess I can't really complain since I was never gonna actually afford any of this anyway, even if it was more reasonable. It's not like Rider Figurarts where the increasingly stingy releases sets a pattern for all future releases. CSM selling Lockseeds or Ride Watches or whatever for thousands of dollars doesn't mean that they can do anything ridiculous with things like Agito's belt, which has limited options to begin with. (Right...?) and just about anything probably other than the bugvisor ii and the VCinext stuff. |

I bet you they wouldn't include Tokimeki Crisis in a hypothetical CSM Buggle Driver II release :V

Interestingly, there seem to be two categories of lockseed currently. The following URL: https://toy.bandai.co.jp/special/gai...d/img_n_16.png with numbers img_n_01 through n_16 will show you everything that we know the release for so far. In order, there's Orange, Banana, Budou, Melon, Kachidoki, Kiwami, Lychee, Kiwi, King Durian, Mango, Watermelon, Kurumi, Yomotsuheguri, Donguri, Durian, and Shin (Melon) Kachidoki. Meanwhile, all the others which are "coming soon" (i.e. we don't yet know what unrevealed set they'll be released in) have a slightly different URL: https://toy.bandai.co.jp/special/gai...d/img_r_01.png this time using img_n_01 through n_16. In order again, that's Ichigo, Pine, Suika, Lemon, Black Orange, Matsubokkuri, Forbidden Ringo (Taboo), the new Hellheim fruit lockseed, Blood Orange, Zakuro (Messiah), Dark Ringo (Jam), Maja (looks like fifteen but bone-coloured rather than silver), Fifteen, Himewari, Golden, and Silver. As far as I can tell these two groups cover most regular lockseeds! The only absentees I can spot are Fresh Orange & Pine*, Kabi (moldy) Orange from the same stageshow as Maja, any canon Legend Rider lockseeds, and if we want to get really technical the unlabelled versions of Banana and Zakuro that showed up in the Black Baron special. I guess Sid's lock too, but I'd expect that to be with the Energy lockseeds if it shows up at all... I did try using img_e_01 thinking maybe e for energy would do the trick, but no such luck! Presumably they're holding off till the Genesis Driver. *If google translate is to be believed the CSM blog noted that the Fresh seeds might not be part of the lineup due to only ever being non-canon. |

At least the OOO Driver got a Super Best release, with Tajador medals and everything! Granted, it's hard to get, but... woo boy it's nothing next to the Arcle.

I'd say there's absolutely nothing to improve the DX toys there but Bandai would never pass up the chance to rip off people with money to throw around. Add a soundboard to the hollow piece of plastic to the Gamer Driver in order to make it play EXCITE, and now it's worth an additional hundred dollars. Package it with Mighty Action X, Maximum Mighty X and Hyper Muteki that are I dunno, shinier or something, and you've got a 'Complete' Selection Modification. (Mighty Brothers XX only comes in a set with the Gashat Gear Dual)
Gosh, it just occurred to me that Genm is enough of a cash cow on his own that they would get away with some real nonsense. CSM Buggle Driver (it can play Wish in the dark and also Kuroto shouting for thirty seconds straight) with just the Dangerous Zombie Gashat. Proto Mighty Action X in some expensive set with all the proto gashats. Then a 'Shin' set with the Proto-Alpha version and God Maximum Mighty. I think I might be spending too much time thinking about toys and the hypothetical ways to sell them. |

Alright, the CSM Sengoku Driver is now out. So... major differences from the DX release:-
- The driver is done in a cleaner matte finish - Like a billion voice clips activated by the upper left button - The belt itself is of course longer, and there's an optional gray one to replicate the Kurokage Troopers - The lower right button replicates Suika Arms' mode noises - A bonus easter egg 'nutrition replenishment' mode, which does a single minor sound with the Lockseeds The more significant upgrades are with the Lockseeds themselves:- - More accurate to the props, having opaque parts rather than transparent with the same matte finish as the Driver - A much much clearer speaker - The activation noise now includes a zipper sound clip to replicate the Arms appearing in the show - The Kiwami Lockseed is now much more comprehensive, including sounds for every movie and V-cinema weapon such as the Saver Arrow and Ringo Reflector Overall... there’s some neat stuff here, and the difference on the Lockseeds is very notable where you might wanna get a Lockseed set or two for your favourite Riders; but I would genuinely just buy an original DX or 20th re-release with a belt extension. The thing is that since at least Wizard the DX belts have been made to be a LOT more accurate to the show that there's not much a CSM could really do; and unlike Decade, W or OOO where a big draw was a far more comprehensive set of gimmick items and sounds... the Lockseeds have always been electronic with the Driver doing little on its own, so that was never a worry for Gaim and they tended to release every new Lockseed anyway. There’s just very very little new on the Driver itself to justify spending so much on it unless you’re completely obsessed with Gaim.

Wonder if it does the same thing as the Ark-Zero/One driver where the voice lines play along with the belt to simulate a character transforming.
