the japanese cards are still horribly annoying and not excusable. if you wanna say thats how itss written in goseis language then thats probably what the rangers should be saying. still a great episode and nice to feature blue.

Also, these are high schoolers. They have their own lives to focus on too. Jake, for example, is still trying to go out with Gia and he probably wouldn't care about what his Power Cards say since he's more interested in wooing her then reading those cards. And I'm sure resident geek Noah has College Prep homework. Emma would have a BMX race, Gia a karate tournament and Troy an hour of daily rooftop air-kicking and heroic speech writing. |

You know, if I was given magic cards by a giant tiki head to use in a battle against alien invaders and I had no idea what the cards said beyond two to three words, and also only noticed the glyphs during my first battle when Demon Bug Soldiers were attacking me, I would just try to win the fight and worry about what my magic cards said after I had fully taken in everything. And that would take a while as I would focus more on the creatures invading my planet than on some squiggles written on a card I got from a literal talking head.

Wow, this episode was pretty badly edited and I'm not talking about the cards (seriously, get over it people).
1) The quarantine part was so badly edited to the point that I couldn't tell what I was looking at. 2) There's a scene after the monster's defeat before the commercial breakyet when it comes back from the commercial they had just defeated the monster and then the monster grows. To quote Phelous "great ontinuity!" Thank god they didn't start with episode 3 like they did Samurai because this episode, while it has it's moments, was poorly made. |

It's nitpicky. Let's not let that detract from the show, hmm? |

There were a few writing missteps and one or two badly done voiceovers, but nothing major. Jake continues to be the best character in the show, he and Noah make an excellent pair that's a joy to watch.
That's really my only negative about the episode, they could have shifted releasing the people from quarantine right after the giant fight. Does anyone have any head-canon theories on how to fit that in nicely?

I'm so slow--I just realised Gosei has the same voice as Koragg.
