Question for the day, why do you think Ultraman toy boxes feature the civilian actors and not just the suits at least more often then Kamen Rider toy boxes?

Did anyone see the new Team KAMEN Rider announcement ? They are going to be working more directly with Toei and teased some Shout Factory news and a "first time event" for Rider in America |

Really glad both KR and Ultraman are growing more here in the West. Hoping we can get some KR DVDs in the near future. |

It’s a rights thing. You have to pay a person if you want to use a photo of them and I assume that the Rider actors cost more.

Kamen rider Saber could use different kind of swords as a gimmick.

Hey folks, I figured this would be a nice place to ask (even though we have a Kamen Rider Questions thread) Why are Kuuga, and Agito (and some extent Blade/Ryuki/Den-o/OOO) not counted towards the mysticism and magic themed seasons in most people's minds? I have not seen these shows, but they seem pretty heavy into sort of modern fantasy or just straight magic. Is there a fandom reason for them not being classified in the same category as Kiva/Wizard/Ghost (and Hibiki)? or do we just not think of them when thinking of the others?

I think it might be because, despite their powersets being very much fantasy, the shows themselves are very grounded in "reality." (some more than others) And we never see any of those Riders cast spells and such.
And in the case of Black(RX) I think it might also be due to Kotaro being a cyborg like how most of the other Showa Riders are, despite the King Stone itself being mystical in nature. |
