And at the end of the day, while having other traits, Jack is relatively one toned. And most gay a characters these are one tones, based solely off their sexuality. The character's sexuality should be a secondary trait. It shouldn't be something that's up front and the focus. Representation is always nice, but don't have characters represent solely for the sake of representation. Actually have them have a purpose. Otherwise they're just token and boring.
