S.H. Figuarts is only the second best...
The extraordinary Zubat joins Evolution Toy's HAF line in July! The figure is priced 9680 yen, and will included four additional hands and his signature whip.

Oh, cool! Seems a bit pricey, though. I've never heard of Evolution Toy before; are they basically the same sort of thing as Figuarts and Figma?

The torso isn't actually just a smooth barrel like it is on most of their figures so that's nice. But for the price you’re paying you're still only getting something that resembles a Figuart from 2011 in terms of proportions and sculpt. Plus, are the QC issues still as widespread with these as they were at the very beginning of the line?
As usual though, this such a niche character that people who like this guy will probably still have an internal debate about buying it. Lastly: Pre-orders in March? I knew Zubat-day was on a Sunday this year, but come on - this had to be... Worse, but yes. And they usually focus on the lesser known Tokusatsu heroes like Redman, Izenborg, Inazuman etc. Last edited by Kiwami; 03-11-2020 at 02:30 PM.. |

Honestly, I’d be way more interested in a figure of Ken Hayakawa.

Hmm interesting less know toku figures. I be down for a jiraiya metal hero figure if they ever do one. Heck would like them to do sentai figures since bandai does not make them anymore and since there less interest in the show these days.

Ah yes, the what if every 70s badass was a vengeful vigilante who wore a ticking time bomb for a supersuit tokusatsu hero.
That said, if you are someone who is not familiar with this show go watch it. Dare I say a classic amongst non-sentai/rider toku hero shows.

It doesn't look terrible... but it's still definitely not something I'd pay over 10000yen for.
