Another simple question but one where I think it'll be interesting to hear out. That being said, what's your favorite Primary KR henshin? Feel free to give a Top 3 or Top 5 if you must, there are a lot of kickass henshins out there so I wouldn't blame ya.
As for me? *ahem* 5. W 4. 555 3. Wizard 2. Gaim 1. Fourze

1. RX
Now Heisei kids have fancy collectables galore. But the last of the Showas really makes the Showa senpais proud. It has that classic space sheriff flavor to it and the motions are very fluid(by the way, note that BLACK and BLACK RX staff members were folks who worked on metal hero shows prior). It definitely feels much more refined than BLACK's, and I say this as someone who favors BLACK over RX. 2. BLACK That FIST CLENCH though. 3. Faiz. Straight-to-business and no fancy twirls. Well, maybe one or two. Input 5-5-5 and raise that old glorious flip phone up. Then quickly slam it down and crank it 90 degrees East for the satisfying transformation. 4. Kamen Rider Shin Repulsive. Gross. Disgusting. These are the qualities that make it one of the best. 5. Decade. That card flick in the beginning and clamping noise at the end really just seals the deal for me.

Gaim is my favorite. I just love how crazy it is. Zipper to another dimension opens, mechanical fruit appears, crashes down on the dude's head and then unfolds Transformers-style. So awesome.
Kabuto is my second favorite simply because how clean and technological it is. The initial transformation with the hexagons building the armor and then the cast-off. It's simple, effective and great to look at. Especially the cast-off part when the bulkier armor pieces start to move out of position. For my third it's probably Kuuga, theres nothing very special about it really but I liked how they did it the first time around (and a few times after I think), where Godai would transform limb-by-limb through hitting the enemy, that was cool. Honorable mentions: Drive (the armor parts appearing around Shinnosuke and then assembling the armor on his body, very Iron Man-esque), Black for the Showa posing (I think he did it best, also the background music accommodating it was badass), Faiz for similar reasons as Kabuto (very techy and I love the red lights) and Ex-Aid because they really did the videogame-theme justice. |

1. Blade.
- Reasons: It was one of the first (that I've seen) "Don't interrupt or attack me while I'm transforming" henshins that I've seen, which considering the rude enemies that exist (Micchy), it's a smart and cool looking Henshin to have. 2. Wizard. - Reasons: Similar to Blade's, but he can choose where to place the transformation ring (typically to the side), so it's not as strict and the Blade Driver. 3. W - Reasons: First Rider I watched, and it's a unique henshin, as it requires two people typically. Sure, that can be a bit of a hindrance waiting on another person, prior to the Lost Driver being used, but I still dig it. 4. Fourze - Reasons: As much shit that I give that season for maybe being "too happy", there's so much energy put into Gentaro's henshin that I can't hate it. Dare I say I like it. 5. Ghost - Reasons: When they're not using stock backgrounds for the transformation (sacrilege!!), it's pretty cool to see, and I'm a sucker for hoodies that work for heroes.

In no particular order,
Blade: The flying card and having to run through it to transform is pretty cool, I must say~ Faiz: I don't like this show, but I love this transformation. The tron lines running along the body and just the tech feel in general is so nice! Fourze: That countdown. Just beautiful~ Kiva: I just love the look of the transformation. Hibiki: Bursting into flames, only to sweep them away and be an oni was just so cool~

Kamen Rider Kabuto why?
As Tendou says henshin, the deep driver voice repeats "henshin". Like Kiwami stated, the hexagons form as he walks slowly, with the charging sound. In most episodes, you can feel the tension rise or the music stop when he's finally done playing and says "Cast off". The belt then does this ticker sound as each individual pieces lift off, and in the last shots before you see the armor flying, you get a glimpse of Kabuto's face. As the armor flies off, everyone ducts then looks up to the horn rising up to Tendou's face. Finally after the horn slowly lands on his face, completing the transformation, Kabuto's eyes light up as the driver states: "Change Beetle" with an emphasis on BEEtle. The most recognizable example of this is during the first all out battle in GSL. |

I consider V3 to be the gold standard. It's flashy but straightforward and Miyauchi was generally really good about throwing himself into it with his whole body, not just the arms. And he could do it while riding a motorcycle; it doesn't get much more badass than that.
Black is one of my other favorites, partially because of the aforementioned FIST CLENCH, but also because of the music that usually played during those scenes. X and Amazon are also pretty high on my list. For the modern shows my favorites are probably Agito and OOO. |

Yeah, no particular order, but my five favorites:
Decade: There's something really satisfying about this one that I can't explain. I think it's the combination of the cards just flying into the driver with a single flick (I also really liked the GoRider card flick, as a side note), the energy cards just slamming into Decade's face, and the way he dusts off his hands, especially when turning into another rider, rather than just striking that rider's pose like most legend rider forms. Kiva: Never seen Kiva, don't particularly intend to any time soon, but I love the sound-wave aspect to the henshin, and how it breaks apart like glass after. Ex-Aid: I'm kind of mixed on this one actually, I really liked the little "cutscene" transformations from the early episodes, it reminded me of watching Digimon as a kid. I recognize they slow things down and get in the way of the action, so I don't want to see them all the time, but I wish they still showed them occasionally (I guess Poppy got one in her first henshin, but that was it). The new, Blade-like transformations aren't as fun. Gaim: Just like what somebody else said, this one is just nuts. Zippers and fruit. Ghost: Parka ghosts are fun, especially when they fight before fusing with the rider, or dance to the driver's standby music. My least favorites are probably Drive and Agito, they're both pretty generic aside from Drive's tires. |
