Oh, so Ninja Steel basically exists to blindside me on what monsters they'll be using for each episode. Alright.

The morals presented in Ninja Steel are just so forced and on the nose by having the characters being so overly stupid when it comes to their "issues". "Cheating is bad", "Rushing work is bad", "Not listening is bad", "Fighting is bad", "Lying is bad", "Destroying stuff is bad", etc. which as I stated before an indication on the producers treating their audience like toddlers. I even once joked why don't they just do a 90s style after episode PSA because a lot of these episodes feels like having a PSA being the real payoff.

Agreed, about treating audience like toddlers.
Where are the killer, more well written plots. Where is the good voice acting and attitude. EVERY POWER RANGER since Overdrive have bland personalities. The closest to having one was Antonio from Samurai. Everyone is bland and cannot act. This is on top of the poor scripts and dialogues. The villains also suffer from being bland and uninspiring. I think teaching morality is good, but the story needs to be wrapped and acted better. Seeing how NIck has destroyed the TMNT, makes me think this is where PR is headed in the near future since Nick has control a few more years. I find the Red Ninja Steel Ranger just like the Red Megaforce ranger...just a bland mess. Usually, leaders have a deep booming voice; instead we get a beta sounding red ranger each and every time it seems. Remember Jason was the leader because he was the best fighter technically...thus the strongest character? Remember Red Light-speed Ranger was the leader because he was most sure of himself and had the skillset to follow suit? Red Mystic force ranger had the best skill set, defined look and personality. The PR story team has really made power rangers almost unwatchable. Maybe they are targeting toddlers at this point and forgetting their KEY demographic, those close to teen males who buys their merch and the adults who can afford them. |

I mean, sorry, but liking the Mystic Force Red Ranger just kind of instantly makes me not trust your opinions. Nick was absolutely terrible as a character. And you're also saying that no other season past Mystic Force when Jungle Fury, RPM, and Dino Charge do actually have well defined characters. I'd argue Ninja Steel does too.
And I know that Ninja Turtles comment was most likely meant for Rise of the Ninja Turtles, but you're forgetting about how the last cartoon, the actually serious one, was an absolute mess with unlikable characters. |
