I'm not a fan of this mentality.
Everyone knew it was going to be different from the show. No one was anticipating a mildly tweaked Dino Megazord/Daizyujin. It's the differences that took all individuality and made it into the AOE Dinobots in aesthetic for dino mode, and a giant, sludge footed ranger in robot mode that had most people cross. We weren't asking for more of the same, we were wanting them to be more unique. They instead chose to embrace the summer blockbuster cookie cutter alien, and molded themselves after everyone else. |

I guess I'm gonna have the unpopular opinion so, might as well get my 2-cents out.
I'm starting to warm up to this zord. Of course I'm gonna wait until the movie to see what the CG version can do, but as a toy, this doesn't look half bad/At least to me. |

Saw this in stores and still wasn't really impressed. Like many, I think I'm going to wait to see it in action first and for the other four zords to be released and reviewed before I decide whether I want to complete them or not. Still looking forward to the movie though.

It looks like something you'd find at Big Lots.

Is there some reason you feel the need to get nasty? Not everyone is going to like everything and differing opinions are, believe it or not, just as valid as your own. People are often critical of things they particularly care about, even if they choose not to buy into every detail blindly. There's no reason to take it personally.

It was shocking at first to see that big of a change on the T-Rex but I never hated it to be honest! I really really like it! It's big and it looks awesome! I love how it forms both the body and tue arms with Pink being the head!
The canon on the side I'm not too keen on it but the tail as a sword does look good! This megazord will be BIG and I love that! Now, to be able to form it through getting the 5 zords individually is kind of a let down for me cuz of the price but eventually I might be able to get them in some way! Overall great figure! |

At the risk of climbing on my soapbox, I hate this kind of lazy, cynical, in-name-only "reimagining". If you're using existing names, but changing personalities, designs, backstory and concept, then you're essentially admitting that you're using those names to try to grab the nostalgia dollar and nothing else.

I'm actually digging how the t-rex looks, I'll probably end up painting the thing when I get it to make it look better, however.

It's lacking in detail, its packing as Den-O stated will kill its limited paintjob, it's so Hollywood it hurts and was it mentioned that it's kinda an ugly partformer too?
I think its only saving graces are its Megazord feature and the fact that since it's Power Rangers it'll be brought anyway. It's a flawed toy to be certain but there's hope that once we have all 5 it may be worth it in the end. |
