On one hand I'm satisfied, on the other I'm disappointed by a few things.
Satisfied:
Disappointed:
Overall I still enjoyed this episode, though the disappointments do bog it down just a bit. |

When Takeru see Edith in Dark Ghost Form, Takeru think Argos is back.. Butafter that Takeru finaly know Edith as Dark Ghost.........
Hmm....real Makoto merged with his fake duplicant after real Makoto injured by Adel's attack.....looks interesting..... Hmm....so finally Adel realized his mistakes but he become berserk after possessed by Ganmaizer powers. Takeru in Ghost Mugen Damashii forced to kill Adel with Gangun Saber Blade mode..... Adel's death looks sad..... Oh...wait....so Ganma World has modern building like in Human World? In end of this episode Edith (Dark Ghost) defeated by Great Eye and Freya become Great Eyezer after she merged with Ganmaizers and Great Eye? Great Eyezer design was cool but I am little disappointment when they re-use Extremer costume for final boss.... Next Episode: Takeru and his friends final battle agains Great Eyezers and Takeru's remaining life is only 1 day. It seems Great Eyezer will be defeated by Ghost Ore Damashii and all 15 Heroic Souls. Also Kamen Rider Genm will be appear and he battle against Ganma.... Last edited by Blade Fang; 09-11-2016 at 12:34 AM.. |

Well that was pretty much fantastic.
I'm really not eager to see how Ex-Aid is awkwardly jammed into the last 2 episodes because Ghost is on the fast track to becoming my favorite Rider show period. Depending on how these next episodes go and we'll see but as it is I'm really feeling it. This baton-passing crap is getting a little out of hand though. For reference: Having an epilogue episode to Drive with Ghost in it: Fine. Shoehorning Ghost into a pointless scene in the actual finale to Drive: Bad! I could say a whole bunch about this episode but I think it'll get real rambly so let's just stick to a couple major thoughts. - I've talked a lot about how Ghost's greatest strength is its thematics and this episode really brought a whole bunch of stuff to a brilliant closure. - Seeing Takeru consumed by rage for a bit was great and a shining example of how his characterization is WAY more complex than just being a generically nice hero. - The way they handled Makoto's plotline was great and I'm glad they pulled another twist on the familiar forumla to clone plots like this. Last episode they had Fake!Makoto save Kanon in a way that assured everyone (including probably the viewer for a second) that he was the real one and in this episode they have Real!Makoto save Takeru in a way that assured the audience he's the fake one. It's some genuinely clever role-reversal. - I'm really glad Adel is actually dead because I think that really was the best way to do it. He gets his redemption but karma still catches up to him. Everybody's happy (including Adel!).

Wha...huh? Since when is Kanon able to kill Ganma? Like what the shit? I know the commando are weak as balls, but that's just ridiculous. Takeru and Makoto letting Kanon tag along for no reason is just ridiculous overall. I know they needed to have her present for the Makoto storyline to work but it's still a lot of nonsense.
The Igor thing: also weird. Also....wow. Neat. Alain is wearing the Shiki patch. That's...some attention to detail. Anyway...episode was ok. Makoto stuff could have been worse. Adel stuff could have been better. So my "Ganma queen was Takeru's mom" shit-tier theory is pretty much dead in the water, but that still leaves her identity as this big old question mark on the series. I can't imagine they'll leave it unresolved, but there being only two episodes left...how and when are they gonna fit it in? Gonna be weird. |

I like some of the ideas they were going for here, but I think the execution could've been better.
Igor sacrificing himself because he was in love with Akari... what? That doesn't even remotely make sense. It really feels like the writers forgot how to kill off Igor, so they just crammed it in at the last minute (see also how Jalvert will probably die, assuming the show remembers he exists). I really wish they'd let Real Makoto die and let Nokoto assume his life. Much more interesting way to resolve that plot and really change the way the character works in the last two episodes and Movie War. Adel's repentance was both obvious and rushed. It could've worked if he'd been a more nuanced character, but he's so flat that the whole scene really didn't work all that well. And then he was immediately turned into a monster and had to be killed anyway. I'm not sure what the hell the point of all that was. It's like the show couldn't decide if Adel was going to be redeemed or destroyed, so they just split the difference and did both in rapid succession. It took me a second to realize that it was one of the twins floating in the air at the end. I deeply pity anyone who has been or will be watching Ghost with no knowledge of the web videos, because this only barely makes sense having seen those. Not sure what happened to the other one, but I also don't really care. I assume (s)he's hanging out with Jalvert and Headband Dude. |

Yeah this did next to nothing for me.
Taking Akari, Onari and Kanon into the Ganma World with them only served the purpose to have them react to all the stuff that was going on, which is fine I guess since you need Kanon to scream "Onichan!" 10 times or something, but I had to roll my eyes when both Onari and Kanon could kick Ganma ass all of a sudden. Like WTF. It's not even in a Dan Hibiki-kinda way where they hit stuff by accident, Kanon was beating the crap out of those Ganma. I know the troopers aren't the biggest threats ever, but still. And Igor… no, just no. The Makoto twin subplot still makes little to no sense to me, but the resolve was okay. But I too would’ve liked it more if the twin survived. Adel's resolve was the strongest thing about the episode (and the first time he felt like a character to me instead of a doll with sound effects actually) and in good old Ghost-fashion they threw it out of the window 2 minutes later. Yay. Also, why even have those web episode twins. I don’t get it. They were only standing around saying "Tenkuji Takeru is the key" a few episodes ago, which did nothing, now their fusion or whatever gets absorbed or...? Why even? They could've just had Adel inside the suit they ripped from the summer movie and it would've made no difference. And in the end they could've saved him instead of the shit which was going down in this episode. A small thing I noticed, did they forget about the reddish Ganma World light or did the budget run out? It's especially noticeable once they switch from the rooms they arrive in to the one where Adel almost kills Alain. So yeah, it's as I feared it would be, Ghost stays Ghost for the entirety of the late game. What a shame, I really hoped this show would get its shit together eventually. Now I'm absolutely ready for Dr. Rider. I really hope it’s good so that I can finally look forward to new episodes of an airing Rider show again. Haven’t they needlessly fused a couple of episodes ago or something? Last edited by Kiwami; 09-12-2016 at 02:31 AM.. |

So I just finished watching the ep, and I'll write something more well worded in the morning but for now 2 things
1. Igor isn't dead his eyecon shattered but his actual body is still out there somewhere 2. How did Igor get killed by a mook? Kanon was taking those out just before his death in the episode

I am deeply conflicted by this episode. It had a few ideas that could've been used better which makes me even sadder that they're not used.
They could've killed off Makoto and replaced him with Nokoto. That would've been the more interesting option. They could've properly redeemed Adel although I don't know how that would've been possible. I don't think you can redeem someone who had committed patricide. The Ganmeisers could've used Edith as their final vessel for Kamen Rider Extremer. It would've been more poetic as well, what with the creations taking control of the creator. Just wake me up when September ends so that I can catch Videogame Doctorman. I think I've had enough of Supernatural Heroman. |
