I had a long involved post but deleted it just to say: Don't pay extra for faster shipping from BBTS, because your stuff doesn't get there any faster, you just pay more.
And if you write customer service asking why it's been 4 full business days since you placed an order with expedited shipping and it still hasn't' shipped yet, they'll tell you it's because they take their time picking out the best quality item out of their stock. Even if your order is only one or two items. (which is a laughable excuse.) I love BBTS and I've used them for years and will continue to buy from them, but this was the first time I paid extra for faster shipping, and not only was it not faster than the standard shipping, it was actually slower than normal. Usually by the second business day they ship, this time I paid extra and four full days later it still hasn't moved. So,..save your money. Just do the 'everything ships for $4' deal they have and it'll get there when it gets there. I can't believe I just threw away close to $20. for faster shipping and the order wont arrive until a week+ after I ordered. What a joke. It will take a week to get your stuff, at least, if you live on the coast. If you pay for faster 2-3 day shipping, it will STILL take a week or more to get your stuff. Save your money. Do the $4. shipping. I love BBTS but that was a complete waste of money on faster shipping. Lesson learned I suppose. They've done this with two orders now. There wont be a third. its true of anywhere faster shipping doesn't include processing time and the thing is some companies have other reasons they are late they won't tell you, in this case they probably couldn't find it. Ive had similar trouble with other places. What actually happened was they didn't look, your best option is make a fuss. No mean it seriously get angry and write them complaining about how they have given you a bad experience because they don't care about how well they did what they care about is either getting good comments or not getting bad comments. They just don't want to get in trouble and if you make a fuss who ever reads it generally gets things done to fix it.
I work in retail and ive had to talk to our customer support and when you deal with the same people and hear the same things you figure out the play book. Im serious there is a manual that their reading from. Its why the emails and such you get are all form letters which is im betting what they sent you, a default form letter that they use when ever this comes up. When you get one complain and call them out on it i do it all the time and it gets results. |

I mean it's not that big a deal, between the two orders I probably paid close to $20. extra dollars for shipping,..but they would've charged a minimum of $4. each,..so really I only spent about $12. extra dollars.
To me it's more the principle of the thing. If someone pays extra for faster shipping and you tell them it'll be there on Saturday, and all week long the shipping tracker shows Saturday,..then late Friday night it suddenly jumps to Tuesday,..that's kind of BS. And the other order has just sat there all week, it still is in the, "A Label Has Been Created" stage,..which we all know means it hasn't actually shipped, it just has a label made for it. But I just wont ever pay for extra shipping again. I really like BBTS and I get stuff from them pretty much every month. This was just in annoying lesson that faster shipping in no way is actually faster, it just costs more. I'm bummed because one of those orders HAD to be there this weekend for my friends birthday, which is the whole reason I paid for faster shipping. And it's not there.
