Some of these questions may have the same answer!
Favorite kaiju movie: Favorite kaiju movie to watch: First kaiju movie: Guilty pleasure: Here are my answers; Favorite kaiju movie overall: Godzilla Favorite kaiju movie to watch:Godzilla: Tokyo SOS, but this changes often. First kaiju movie: American cut of King Kong vs. Godzilla. (However, my second shortly afterward was Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla and it may have actually been more influential.) Guilty pleasure: Godzilla: Final Wars |

Favorite film overall and favorite to watch I'd say are the same: Godzilla vs. the Thing. To me, it represents the perfect balance between the goofy and serious sides of the Godzilla mythos. English dub wins out for the excellent scene where Godzilla fights the American Navy (I think it was the Navy), and the line "I'd like to see the power of at attorney granted to you by The Thing!"
First Kaiju movie: According to my mother, it was actually Emmerich's Godzilla. My memories of loving Godzilla reach so far back it's kind of impossible to tell which was my first Japanese film, but I'm willing to bet it was vs. Megalon, given that it and King of the Monsters are the oldest VHS tapes I own of Godzilla movies. Guilty Pleasure: Final Wars is certainly up there, but the actual prize goes to vs. King Ghidorah. As a film, it's a complete uneven mess, but I love it all the same. |

Favorite kaiju movie: Hard choice, I like so many. I suppose the one I like the most has the be the original Gojira. It's just one of the best there is.
Favorite kaiju movie to watch: Godzilla vs Gigan. Gigan is my 2nd favorite Kaiju, and I just enjoy the movie so much for some reason. First kaiju movie: Godzilla vs Megalon. I really hope it gets it's Blu-ray release soon. EDIT: Actually it might of been the 1998 American version, however if it was then I definitively watched GvMegalon the night after I saw it. Bit more of a similarity to KRiderZim, KOTM was also the only other Godzilla video I owned at the time (however, I didn't find my copy until years later.) Guilty pleasure: Godzilla Final Wars. I can watch it over and over and never be tired of it. Last edited by Starsteam; 01-05-2012 at 05:46 PM.. |

Favorite kaiju movie: Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla. I freaking loved that movie.
Favorite kaiju movie to watch: Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidora: Giant Monsters All Out Attack (I think that's the title). This movie is really fun to watch. It's kinda weird though. Because of poor luck, this is probably one of few Godzilla movies I've never watched completely from start to finish. First kaiju movie: Hmm. This one is tough. My mom was a major Godzilla fan before I was born, so I'm not 100% Positive. But the earliest Kaiju movie I can think of is Godzilla vs. Megalon (Want to know how early I saw it? I confused Jet Jaguar for Ultraman for like 5 years before seeing the actual Ultraman series ) Guilty pleasure: I love me some Final Wars, but I don't think it a guilty pleasure. That one actually falls to Godzilla vs. Megalon as well. It had everything I loved as a kid (Godzilla, beetles, and a Henshin hero of sorts (Even if Jet isn't really one)). |

Favorite: tough call, but Godzilla vs. Biollante is usually the first that comes to mind.
Favorite to watch: depends on the mood. First: Godzilla 1985 is the first I clearly remember (and what ultimately got me hooked as a kid) but it might very well have been King Kong vs. Godzilla. Guilty pleasure: Showa Gamera. Haters gonna hate. |

Favorite Kaiju: Final Wars Goji. Because he looks like he can actually kick some ass.
Favorite Kaiju movie: Godzilla vs. Hedora. First Kaiju Movie: Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Guilty Pleasure: the Roland Emmerich movie. Because, while it's a terrible Godzilla movie, it's a decent monster movie. Last edited by Mechagodzilla; 01-08-2012 at 11:29 AM.. |
