Yeah for all intents this is our MBJR Clipshow but we've finally got new footage and developments going alongside it.
So it's a lot more tolerable than what we've been getting for the past five weeks. |

In the next ep, Horobi may be Ark-Zero. But I think it's not going to be just Horobi, but I think all of MetsubouJinrai will be Ark-Zero at some point.

Honestly just a nice refreshing change of pace after all these weeks, yeah it was a clipshow but it was a lot better than the actual clip filler we had.
Also because I've been heavily watching Exkaiser, and given Ark-Zero is using the Attache Arrow in the preview, all I can hear is Exkaiser calling out "Dragon Archery!" whenever I see him use it. |

Oh man, this was refreshing. This episode is still going to have zero appeal to anyone who's simply waiting for the show to actually start again, but let me tell you as someone who suffered through all five weeks of progressively more desperate attempts to put something "new" on the air, the simple idea of a recap episode with a newly-filmed framing device feels like a miracle. There's still not all that much to say about it, but I actually did feel like I was watching Zero-One for the first time in a while, and I'm thankful for that. All these clip shows, they obviously weren't very good, but I honestly have mad respect for Toei for even managing to get anything "new" out at all despite a lack of actual new material to work with. Given the reason behind the hiatus, that's a lot more effort than they had to put in. Having Zero-One gone for such an unprecedented amount of time has given me a long while to further ponder my often conflicted stance on it as a series, and now that it's finally back in action, I'm really actively looking forward to the last stretch of episodes. If there's one thing this particular episode accomplished, especially, it was serving as a great reminder of what a fun cast of (non-CEO) villains this show has, and two more on top of that sounds like a heck of a way to spice things up.
