So Beroba's just desserts is done by 2 of the most likely candidates, Neon and Michinaga, though the former does it more.
Guess Neon's lack of understanding of love directed to her still applies in her not understanding how her parents, if only taking so long for them to properly do their job, show actual care for her in Gya-Go Fantasy risking his life to protect her by shielding her from Premium Beroba's shot, as well as Irumi talking about her worry regarding her kidnapping. Both reasons are about her fake status, which makes her feel that she's not worth being loved by anyone, either her fans or the couple who birthed Akari. This'd also emphasized that she helped Kousei without expecting to be rewarded or owing into them only because of their parent position, just simply because he's someone in need of help, physically and emotionally, regardless if her parents are inspired by her to make a change and repaid her or not. Overall her parents' redemption are meant so that Neon's suffering end and she can finally move forward, and have Beroba unable to break her, by correcting her warped view due to her upbringing by having her parents display what true love is, like Kousei being ready to throw his life for her, after their failure of giving her one, regardless of what Irumi feels. Then her getting to be Kamen Rider again from those wishes. So she finally got her closure, and live up to her claim of now being happy, by being bubbly again in her interactions with Ace, by having things work out on her favor, but this seems to be an unreliable way to get happiness, what if her parents are really irredeemable scums without self-awareness, or what if she can't ever become Rider again. She'd be forever miserable of never knowing true love while still giving one to others, or watching people around her die while being unable to find ways to mitigate that. It's brought up more than once, but Neon's reason to protect others here is about duty as a Kurama family, if still self-imposed for their role as DGP sponsors. So it's still not said regarding her reason to help others before the recent reveals of Kousei's involvement or Mitsume's wish, guess it was what she explains to Sae? And Neon and Beroba's match isn't about Neon hunting her for revenge, but her reacting to Beroba's further attack to kill Kousei. Yet perhaps despite revenge being not something right as shown in Keiwa that Ace stopped him, this'd be likely also considered just getting revenge to Beroba when this is about protecting the hospital and preventing her causing misery. Her henshin has her seemingly showing Creator-like abilities of shielding herself with 9 tail pillars like Geats IX, due to her belief, which misleads the viewer with her being like other Goddess due to being Mitsume's creation. The Fantasy's abilities so far is weapon creation like claw, intangibility, and weapon summoning. Her intangibility may be also her accepting herself about her fake and not existing status and embracing it... I expected said Fantasy's ability to be Revice's final form before, with Vice being intangible, but incorporating that in battle. With Neon's skill in comparison of Kousei to beat Premium Beroba, a skilled fighter, really she could've defended herself against Kazuo... talking about how Fantasy still incorporates hand-to-hand combat, not only magical abilities. Her beatdown also shows that Beroba, who finally bleeds, can't take her own despair like she inflicts to others, which Michinaga rubs, thus no redeeming her, with her also insisting that she does what she does cuz no one wants a happy ending, just Neon reaffirming that what she does is wrong that the world isn't fodder for entertainment. I guess I'd be relieved that Buffa Zombie is still easily beaten by Tycoon, though he manages to score some hits by catching him off-guard with Revolve On. While it's a good showing from him, it's overrated to have him being considered as almost beating Tycoon or such, or wanking him of thinking that he'd trounce everyone easily on even grounds. Rival characters with rude personality can really get overrated like this, when the show already displays that even grounds with Keiwa and Michinaga fighting as human before, or him not being the only case of punching above his weight like, Na-Go keeping up with other veterans (like Buffa) with Armed Buckles in first DGP, or, regardless of him being a scum, Brali keeping up with Gya-Go Fantasy, and actually looking equal (Buffa scoring some hits isn't), before his eventual defeat, and it's actually separate from Premium Beroba's participation. Overall though, this shows that final form Riders aren't immune to base form Riders' attacks for both cases. About Michinaga's talk with Keiwa, I guess he still keeps his stubborn nature, which probably how he fails, that he still pins the blame on Keiwa for his wish, and act like he suddenly cares by that blame where he insists that otherwise Sara can be saved, and that Keiwa won't ruin Ace's work. I hope this failure isn't used to only paint Keiwa as in the wrong, but is used to emphasize that Michinaga needs to work harder to earn his redemption, with his callous actions before may be more remembered (unlike ep. 36), other than how Michinaga brought up Ace's question in ep. 8 again about only Keiwa getting to be happy with his family, which now Keiwa sees as nothing wrong, showing his lack of regard to others without them keeping him on check. Michinaga's talk about Daichi's tree of knowledge may be clearer in next episode based on the screenshots, but I hope Daichi remains a despicable scum, as him being tight-lipped is interpreted in kinda a positive light by the characters. Keiwa seems to have a bit of soft spot for Neon with his reaction to her kidnapping, still addressing her with '-chan' suffix, albeit at the end he addresses her as Na-Go. And without Michinaga, there are still people who tries to get through him like Tsumuri, who thankfully retains some of her will as long as Ace is alive, to use this to point out that Keiwa's still miserable despite asking her for another, prompting him to likely stop altering the world to his liking until he gets what he wants. Tsumuri too now has a noble goal of wanting everyone to be happy, when Jit taunts her of Ace and her upcoming fate. This is power of friendship thing to have Ace being strong by having more allies on his side, and I'd think Neon's W against Beroba is also that, of Ace intervening to change Gya-Go's ID Core with Na-Go, despite his lies of not expecting that, but Neon being able to see through it.

While I enjoyed Na-Go BeatBoost's debut more for having 2 Raise Buckles (and a giant sphinx mount), Fantasy could also be pretty OP when paired with another large Raise Buckle. Of course, Boost is the only one that makes a unique sound, but imagine how useful BeatFantasy would be for a mage like Na-Go. Beat provides white magic buffs and elemental black magic, both of which could be used to enhance Fantasy's magic blade constructs. Like, for example, to create extra strong fire-elemental claws! Using Double for comparison, Beat would be the Cyclone/Luna/Heat and Fantasy would be the Joker/Metal/Trigger. FantasyBoost would have a passive buff to the blade constructs, like Boost does for every Raise Buckle it's paired with. Honestly, I want to see Na-Go use both of these forms!

I mean, being tight-lipped is one of Daichi's known qualities, as in something he's good at, but it's not a moral quality, so I doubt Ace or Michinaga are expecting him to change. Unfortunately, Daichi can't even be held culpable anymore, as Keiwa's world indirectly absolved him (as well as Michinaga) of his crimes by undoing his victims, who either live or get murdered by Gang Riders instead.

I wish the Fantasy Buckle was a two piece buckle similar to the Boost Mark IX Buckle and the Bujin Sword Buckle. Why can't the Fantasy Buckle be a two piece buckle?

Because unlike them, this was designed as a base form item first.

Yeah, I guess it's a convenient outcome that Kousei and Irumi turned out to be loving parents deep down. But even if they weren't, I'd still believe in Neon, that she could find true love another way. Whether it's familial love for Ace by wanting to protect him from Tycoon Bujin Sword, or platonic love for Sara by wanting to bring her back. Surely a love like that could be strong enough to allow Ace to manifest the Na-Go ID Core.
And I fear that this can further the view of how if a shitty parents of a kid is not 100% evil and dastardly all the time, they're not actually abusive, and that the kid must be exaggerating. Which also can push the view of how the one who wants to stay away from toxic family are the ones seen at fault due to them putting the concept of family in pedestal. Which I also fear that Neon can be demonized as a brat for wanting to run away, or denying how much important family is or "love" she got from her parents until now, when it's about the parents acknowledging they're wrong and that it's Neon's actions that changed them. Or perhaps with her being kidnapped again, think that Irumi "told her so" that she never listens (to her overprotective moves of imprisoning her in home). You or your actions aren't good or bad based on the outcome, Daichi's actions being undone won't negate the fact that he's a scumbag that has no repercussions in getting what he wants including mass murder.

I know it's belated, but I have to speak up. I wanted to catch up with the show and go to the weekly viewing before the final, but the 43rd and 44th episodes finished me off. First, Neon tells Kosei about "8 years of Akari" and "11 years of Neon". Then Irumi tells him the same thing. Then Kosei goes to save Neon and talks about it. Neon does not understand and asks for clarification and the beaten Kosei barely breathing explains. To be fair ", it was already the 44th episode, so maybe someone forgot in a week. Then Irumi runs to the hospital and again says Neon about 8 and 11 years. And then they talk about it together in the ward. My brain almost boiled and the beautiful debut of Naago-Fantasy slightly cooled them. I really hope that in the next episode Kyuun does not return from the future to also listen to about 8 and 11 years. Huh! The only rational explanation for this jammed record, which turns a family drama into a parody, is that Takahashi read the reviews about Keiwa's overly veiled dark side, took offense and went to the other extreme. Damn, now instead of crying, Neon is associated with these 8 and 11 years, as soon as I see her, I look forward to talking about it. Seriously, the thing is killer, you need to make it a finisher.
P.S. By the way, where did Bat-Rider go? Tycoon vaporized him or what? Or was his fate left vague in case the DGP extras come in handy later? Last edited by Mesnick; 08-11-2023 at 06:09 PM.. |
